2024 Salomon No Drama Review - Snowboard Magazine 2024 Women's Board Test

Спорт

In spring 2023, Snowboard Magazine gathered a group of women snowboarders and went to Mammoth Mountain, California for a week of testing new 2024 snowboards. The goal was to find daily drivers, boards that perform well in a variety of conditions and make a great go-to pick no matter what you the terrain and conditions you ride this winter. The testers selected their six favorite snowboards as the best for the upcoming season. The 2024 No Drama is poppy, responsive, and got high marks as expected in the park, but really impressed testers with its agility even when ripping groomer runs and cutting through chunder. Go to www.snowboardmag.com to read the entire snowboard review and check out the other boards the testers picked.
The Salomon No Drama is a stiff, true twin freestyle board designed for the rider that wants to charge. Salomon’s Popster Booster tech mills out the core underfoot while adding carbon stringers in the tip and tail to give the No Drama predictable and explosive pop. Combined with Quad Camber and Royal Rubber dampening pads, the tech in this board is designed to maneuver through any feature in its path. A favorite of team rider Maddie Mastro, the No Drama handles big freestyle features without a hitch, making it a strong choice to combat the rest of the mountain.
The No Drama won over testers thanks to its freestyle-forward design. Abby Furrer was enamored with this ride from first run. “I loved this board in the park,” she commented. “It has perfect flex and locks in nicely on boxes and tubes.” When she took it out of Unbound, the board continued to impress. “I was surprised how well it held an edge on steeper runs,” she said. Kelsey Boyer had a similar experience when trying out the No Drama, though she felt it was a little stiff on rails, it was perfect in the jumpline. “It feels like it comes to life with every landing and takeoff,” she added.
Overall, our crew of riders felt that the No Drama is a hard-charging snowboard built to perform in the park, but the qualities that make it a Salomon-team slopestyle and halfpipe favorite contribute to its abilities all-over the mountain. Kelsey summed it up succinctly, commenting, “The No Drama shines in the park, but it can also hold its own riding the entire mountain for an aggressive riding style. It charges head-on to any sort of freestyle riding that involves edge control and airtime.” The No Drama is sturdy, poppy, and eats up the chatter on a rough day, making it a great daily driver for rider who’s looking to challenge themselves all over the mountain.
