Since the new Himalayan is priced almost 60-70k more than vstrom, we will see more Vstroms on the road. Dominor is the only serious competition to vstrom in that price bracket.

Already own vstrom it easily cruises with pillion 110 to 120 kmph without lagging

I will go for V STORM SX 250. All rounder bike. Good speed, good ride quality and very good mileage.

Lack of tubeless tyres in Him450 is a deal breaker of sorts....Suz V Strom is a more intelligent option for long dist travellers. Also, I read somewhere that a lower seat height option is there on V Strom. Any comments?

You can get a seat as an accessory for lower seat height of 810mm

My suggestion is dont go for lower seat option, it wont make that difference. Learn to ride a higher bike. It is a skill. It is worth the comfort. The lower seat is not comfortable.

The lower seat is not that comfortable i didn't try but the owner of the showroom explains it to me 😅so I keep the original one

If you want to go to laddaks most difficult terrain of higest road and ur life depended on it. No way more chosing himalayan as it is not as reliable as vstorm. And i can reach any destination in india on a vstorm without difficulty and reliably.

Superb comparison, The high price and weight of Himalayan 450 is a big drawback and everyone cannot afford to have 2 bikes. VStrom is the way to go, it has already proven its engine. The lightweight is a boon in the city and the cruising speed of 110-120 kmph with enough power to overtake and easy luggage carrying capacity, simply makes the VStrom SX, a better all rounder ADV. And it is good off road as well, though here in India many think it cannot go off road, overseas many owners say that the VStrom feels closer to a dirt bike and it is also winning trophies in many off road events.

The vstrom 250 sold abroad is a parallel twin not the single cylinder version sold in India. The make is very different.

No vibrations nor heating issue after 3rd service. The engine smoothens itself after running atleast 5k kms

V storm will give u better mileage easy to handling its suitable for traveling Where as himalaya is more better at real offroad

No need to compare. Cb 350 is not fast. Himalayan 3rd and 4th gears are like turbocharger. It will easily go 170+

@@nikhilmenon8605 You think all 365 days Himalayan used in Offroads? Most of the people would have used 10% of overall ride in offroads. Remaining are in paved roads. Current Himalyan upgrade is great. Hope Suzuki comes up an updates with minimum price hike.

@@VM-1964 I guess it is supposed to be an off-roader, so no 19-inch wheels, or it would be a motard. Maybe if they launch the Scram 450 then 19-inch wheels. Also, Himalayan will get tubeless spoked wheels later so that will be mitigated
