Love the idea of the Bastion building. I always just used the stuff from the old Rules Cyclopedia from the 1990s. The rest of the book sounds like things I may or may not use, but the Bastion rules I would like to see as a separate book I can purchase.

@brothersindungeons Mostly character creation. But also eager to see how it is better for newbies. I run a D&D for Beginners session at my LFGS and whenever I shiw people the PHB, I have them read the Introduction and then skip to chapter 7 to learn how to play before bothering with character creation.

Thanks for the the video! It helped me get an idea what is going on with 5.24. I'll pass. Thats right. Something that WoTC spent years, and something that goes along with the 50th anniversary is a easy pass for me. Ive already perfected 5.0. I would be interested in great campaign modules with great maps, but sadly WoTC gave up on that.

It feels like some of the classes were rushed and while they may be more balanced they are also more clunky and less fun. Ranger is tied to hunters mark and paladin has to use a bonus action and cast a spell to use a core feature. This seems almost deliberate to sell us a new book with new character class options to fix the base classes

Honestly that’s the feedback I’ve heard from a lot of people. I guess we will see what it looks like once it has actually been released but I’m getting the impression that many people will stick to 5e

Have you looked at tales of the valiant. I initially wrote it off as 2014 5e but upon a giving it a second look it actually seems to be more in line with what 2024 should be​@brothersindungeons

This version of woke dnd is not being carried by my lgs. They have canceled wotc going forward... you guys should look at the statement Kuntz made in response to wotc's statement attacking the original creators of the game.

I’ll pass for now I’ve only been playing 5e for 3 years. So I don’t want to buy 5.5 books.
