Nobody is picking the Raiders because the offense is terrible. The Raiders Defense can only win some games but not enough to overtake the Chiefs.

CBS hated on the Raiders during the draft & hated them again here. Under 6.5 wins? You're out of your goddamn mind. Raiders won 8 games with a Rookie QB and interim head coach. But somehow the Raiders got worse over the offseason by adding a Generational TE & an elite DT and still somehow will win only 6 games or less? You've got to be high.

I don't think it's disrespectful to say Raiders will have issues and aren't more than a 7 win team. That's actually dead on. Could they scrap out a few extra wins? Possibly but highly doubtful. The Chiefs are head n shoulders better as a whole and there are easily 6 teams minimum that will beat out Raiders for a playoff spot EVEN IF they do better than 7-10. No offensive line, no QB, inexperienced RB, and Maxx Crosby is being wasted

Wow! So much hate for the Raiders. Since AP took over as coach they have constantly improved going 5-4 to end the season. They ended last year with a top defense that shut down most offenses and now with Christian Wilkens it will only be better. And for O'Connell, He also kept improving. His last 5 games he had 8 TDs with 1 interception winning 3 and the 2 losses were both by 3 points. And one of those wins was against the Chiefs in KC. The Broncos haven't beat the Raiders since 2019. Sure the schedule is a little tougher this year, but come on. Under 6.5?

Im really trying to be objective here as a Chiefs fan. I truly believe the Raiders are finishing in last behind Denver. Chiefs will likely clinch later than usual because the schedule timing wise vs opponents coming off byes/longer weeks, etc. but they still clinch by Week 14. Chargers make the biggest improvement in the division but i dont think anyone makes playoffs in division aside from us. North is too good

The Chargers and Broncos finish over the Raiders??? Nah. Broncos and Chargers have extremely underperforming defenses while LV has a top 5 defense. That's for starters. LAC has a college coach taking over, which has historically almost always been a failed experiment. Herbert has little to no offensive weapons, and Denver has a decent rookie starting QB and also little to no offensive weapons. Herbert is hands down the best of the QBs outside of Mahomes in that division, but he has nobody around him that he built chemistry with over the past 4 years. Then look at the Raiders with Davantae Adams, Jakobi Meyers, Tre Tucker, Brock Bowers, Michael Mayer, and a much improved o line. The Raiders will definitely finish as the 2nd best in the division and probably end up making the playoffs with a wildcard spot.

Wow, you guys are so optimistic thinking the Broncos will win 5-6 games this year, looking at their schedule I see 2 winnable games and 2 games they will win but shouldn't so 4-13 this year guys!

Holy Crap! The Raiders 6.5? I'm betting my house and car on that! The Raiders should win a MINIMUM of 9 games. They won 8 games last season despite all of the drama and chaos that occurred. With the logic of "comparing you QB against every other QB" then the Chiefs should have no losses since Mahommes became the best QB in football. But, football doesn't work that way. The Raiders are the last team to beat KC--in KC last season on Christmas Day, with Mahommes playing QB and AOC for the Raiders. How did that happen? The Raiders defense stymied KC. The Chief's defense (which was also very good last season) changed their defense to stop the pass, so the Raiders simply went to the ground for something like 143 yards. That's how they won. The Raiders had a tremendous offseason. While they did add Minshew, the only position that they did not upgrade was QB. Now, AOC will have better protection and better weapons, plus a defense even better than last season. He already had a good arm, good touch, and was accurate. He's been working all offseason on getting stronger, working in the pocket, and getting out of the pocket when needed to. So, it's quite possible that they have no issues at QB. But for some reason, analysts want to make Minshew the starter, even though the coach has always stated that its his to lose. Some of these prognostications are just wacky. It's like they take five minutes to look at a team and then come up with a record to give them.
