Iowa State alum and fan here, DeJean has been my favorite player to watch on the Hawkeyes the last couple years. Iowa's defense is always so good but DeJean is the single reason they won probably a good 4-6 games last year. He's very athletic but his intuition is incredible.

Extraordinary talent who can play many positions and provide elite play on special teams. High football IQ and awareness too. Might be the most balanced defender in the draft. 😳

Very impressive reel, some of these punt returns are more why-lights than highlights though

Would love to see my Broncos trade back into the late first round and grab this kid. Him and PS2 in our secondary would be insane. Is it just me, or does he look like CMC when he has the ball? His acceleration, creativity and power when he runs is that good.

Eagles will use him in the slot and as a safety The Quinyon pick pretty much solidified that before Cooper sharp DeJawn wa drafted. I see him more as a safety as he can play the run and ball hawk on deep balls. This was an excellent combo of picks for the eagles. I’d imagine Bradberry is a post June 1st cut and Mitchell/ DeJawn are day 1 starters

Looks like a really good tackler with slightly above average speed & good vision on offense & defense.if he can cover in the league he’ll be a problem fast 💯

He's such a hard prospect to judge. His play making ability and instincts are as good as you could ask for. But if you stick him outside, you can't run zone every single play. Eventually you have to play man/press man, and it's hard to tell if he'd be able to stick around with some of the great route runners in the NFL.. As a safety, I'm sold. He's your guy. But on the outside, it's just hard to judge based on the type of defense Iowa likes to run.

He’s not an outside corner he can be a very good safety tho has good instincts and ball skills and is a great tackler get definitely make things happen with the ball in his hand

Looks like a mid round pick. His upside is his instinct to make plays like Hufunga but he doesn't have that speed or ability to play corner in the NFL. Huge gamble for a team picking him early rounds.

​@@bayodaman Hard to know for sure what his agility is, as he didn't do the cones at his workout, likely because he was only cleared a week or two before, after the injury, but his workout vertical was > Mitchel and Arnold, his 40 was top 12, and faster than Arnold, and his broad jump was about equal with Wiggins, and ahead of Mitchel. He may end up as a safety, but most teams play a lot of Nickel these days, and he could easily slot in as a CB there, and a safety on other downs. To test better on the 40 and vertical than Arnold is pretty solid.

@@dhochee A very high PCT of my mock drafts have DeJean dropping to the Packers at #25. The Eagles is one of the teams that could take DeJean before the Packers, at #22. Another time, the Vikings took him at #23.
