The fact that they made a day specific to the second round only to go to commercial break during Kolek's, Larsson's, and Shead's and I forgot the other ones draft announcement is mad disrespectful. Also, Bronny being glazed during McCullar Jr.'s draft announcement was very messed up.

Man, i want this young guy to become whatever the equivalent of draft express is, but stay heavily video based. I do agree, though, I want to see more people who clearly played/play the game at a cerebral level become scouts & player personnel type staff for NBA teams. I think there are still too many execs' golf buddies & boardroom buddy types and their kids and nephews and such in those positions, and while many of them may have played in high school, up through college, it sounds like a lot of them were doing it on daddy's money, not as much on high level understanding and skillset, when you listen to NBA players who have been around these guys. This is seriously high level stakes in both sports, and business. The players are your assets & product. Get some actual damn hoopers in these scouting & player personnel positions. When I look back at my talent evaluation over the last 2 decades, i would have built so many better rosters than most of these teams have through the draft and smart trades before the rest of the NBA wakes up on certain guys. And just from a roster building fit standpoint. Like why did the kings trade haliburton for sabonis? Sabonis pretty much gives you a hard ceiling. Haliburton doesn't. And why did no one jump on Gafford before the Mavs did? He's been a clear get since he went to the Wizards. Almost any other contender could have benefitted from him. Why did Trey Murphy not go higher? Better defender, shooter, decent scorer, and bigger than almost all the wings taken ahead of him. Why did the Kings take Davion Mitchell when they had Hali & Fox? And how did Paul George not go higher? I had him over half the guys who went ahead of him. Then Luke Babbitt goes a few picks after PG. Like what?? I could go on. And yeah, we all have misses because of guys' personalities/mental health/immaturity/bad decisions basically taking away their opportunities and ability to see the game cerebrally in the NBA, or at least limiting their ceiling & role. See Terrence Williams, Sean Williams, Javaris Crittenton, Tyler Honeycutt, Royce White, Chris Anderson, Javale, Ja Morant, Darius Miles, Eddie Griffin, James Bouknight, Kai Jones, Stephen Jackson, Monta Ellis, Ron Artest, even Nick Young, JR Smith, Rasheed Wallace, etc., to various degrees and effects. But when you actually get to interact and talk with these guys, you're going to be able to sniff things out and make those calls better. Rest in Paradise to those we've lost, by the way. We need hoopers and hoopheads, like Keandre, like you and me, to do these jobs. Keandre, keep building, and take opportunities as they come to you, but whatever you build, make sure that stays your own. They're going to want you because of what you've built. Keep control of that, and keep doing it, as much as you can. You are the talent. They need YOU. That goes for anyone reading, no matter what you do.

@@lakeshoresubtletieswell to answer your hali question having him and fox in the backcourt was redundant as we see hali functions best with the ball in his hands and when he's able to run the show and because he is just a decent off ball player and most likely was and never will be a super scorer having him and fox really wasn't gonna work

@@johndavis9321 i mean, he already score in the low 20s while still leading the league in assists. I'd say that's teetering on big time scorer already. At all of 23, 24 years old. Fox (who i am also a fan of), should have been the guy the traded. And maybe Fox wouldn't get them Sabonis. Maybe he would have gotten them Myles Turner and Bennedict Mathurin and a pick, though. Or someone high level from another team. But yeah, I agree, unless Fox made a transition to primarily being an effective 2 guard while Hali was on the floor, they were redundant.

@@johndavis9321 what? Haliburton was projected to go like 4-7 spots higher, and it immediately became clear he was worth a top 5 pick, and at this point, he should have arguably been 1st or 2nd. They got a steal, and he ultimately brought them in a young all star at another position. Haliburton was a can't miss pick at 11 or 12, and he definitely didn't miss.

Trey Murphy instead of Davion Mitchell in 21 is a pick i would have cheered then, and now. Just on fit, but also slightly on talent. Any big wing/combo forward who can shoot and has decent to good mobility and defensive willingness shouldn't be slept on. Especially when you're loaded with point guards and small combo guards. This year i haven't been able to pay attention to the talent as much, but Carter was not a great fit with Fox & Monk already on board and Monk being resigned. The big the Nuggets took may have been a smart pickup. Daron whats his name. Or just any big shooting wing/forward between 6'8 & 6'11 in shoes. Not sure what Murray's upside is. He can be an explosive shooter, but streaky, and an underwhelming overall scorer.

You flip a FRP for 2 future ones (one with 1st pick protection which is crazy) that you can either package for a superstar later or use to bolster the roster when Wemby enters his prime. I’m thinking Sarr could be a Derrick lively-type but with more fluidity and switchability. He’ll probably be a common name on all-defensive teams for his entire career. Risacher will be a decent role player/starter. No body to co-Captain the boat with. I’m praying for another jump by Johnson.

The Salaun pick is all about creating culture. He will bust his ass for the new regime, and if everything about Charles Lee is true then he's the perfect guy to develop him into a two-way star. Raw like the cow is still mooing, but the mistakes he makes are exacerbated by his high energy. I had to think on it a lot but I came to the conclusion that the Bucks FO decided to go all in on extending the championship window as opposed to maximizing their current championship window. AJ Johnson, Andre Jackson, MarJon and Tyler Smith should all be significantly better in 2, 3, 4 years if their development is truly emphasized (and if Pat, Bobby, and/or Brook are traded to get under the 2nd apron). Don’t know if I agree with this direction, but drafting an athletic PG/SG with good positional size that has potential to be a on ball creator, as well as an athletic “big wing” (really more of a tweener) that can really shoot and can potentially be a great defender with his physical tools is definitely a play for the future. Clingan says bigger Zeller or Plumlee brother to me. Ceiling is a slightly bigger Walker Kessler. I think Kessler has better instincts as a help defender and shot deterrent and blocker, but Clingan is more imposing. Overall, yet another reach on a limited white center when there are players with skillsets who will effect winning more. Edey is like a bigger Zubac more or less. Also a reach. Fool's gold, both of them. But in this draft, if they end up being decent 5-7 year role players for their respective teams, you probably at least feel ok. There will be hindsight on players taken after them, but right now, give me Dillingham or Cody Williams over either. Get the best players possible, always, then if they pan out, you shape the rest of the roster around them. You don't shape the roster over getting top talent. You get talent first, then figure out what you need, and if your talent is too redundant, you trade the lesser of the high level redundant talent for high level players that fill your team needs.

You accumulate talent and figure out the fit later. Basketball being 5 on 5 where you play both sides of the ball means 1 individual player can impact a game so massively, that you just need to find that star talent, everyone else needs to fit in or move on at that point. 2013-2015 the 76ers drafted Nerlens Noel (C, 6th OVR), Joel Embiid (C, 3rd OVR) and Jahlil Okafor (C, 3rd OVR). @@younglito2976 you also have to have some guards. You can't play all bigs at the same time. There aren't enough minutes to go around for all of them. You either play the old guys to try to win and your young guys don't develop or you play the young guys and waste the older guys' contracts

@falconhoward4032 Markkanen has played SF for 3 years now. Cody Williams is a SF. Kessler is the only one that is a real C. Collins and Filipowski are PF/C. Hendricks is a PF/SF. None of these are a problem for the roster.
