Nice trailer . Bad hold downs if your in a hurry . The single bar lock is way better . My buddy twisted his because he forgot to unhook the passenger side lock.

My cousin is a mechanic and has told me 'you can't fix stupid, only what they break'. If unlatching 2 latches is too hard, I suppose they could get a power tilt, which would reduce it to one button. I suppose you could also only latch one and close the stop/control valve, but that would expose us and the manufacturer to potential liability, so I'll refer to what I said at the beginning.

@BestChoiceTrailers I'm a technician and you always get some stupid engineer that comes up with a brilliant idea. A single side latch like pj or dimond is the way to go . He's not the only one that forgot to unlock both of those dumbass latches. Junk just like a Chevrolet

On a 7' wide where the tie downs in front of the fender and to the base frame, not a problem. On a 102" deck where the tie downs are attached to the deck itself (not the base frame like a 7' wide), and you are already 102" wide, I'll stick to the stupid engineer's design and latch both. The newer 'foot pedal' style setups stick outside the frame 4-5", curious where you'd put that on a 102" deck that already at the legal width limit. Said brands do what you mention on a 7' wide. Takes less time to latch a latch that you'll throw ramps down on a stand up ramp trailer, and you'll have a 102" deck target to hit rather than 16" ramps. GMC, not a chevy sir.
