-tyla’s look was so creative she’s literally an hourglass and had the sand on her arms and everything also a tiny detail was she had little chains hanging from each nail so when her arms were down it looks like sand was pouring from her fingertips -also i like you so much more after seeing you criticize naomi campbell hahaha -that pasta thing you showed was accurate as hell -THANK YOU about mentioning the nudity thing i’ve been saying that for years. it’s so pointless when it comes to a FASHION event i thought i was going crazy so happy to see someone else say it ❤

Totally agree about the nudity dresses. So boring to me. Far too many dresses that looked like sheer skin-coloured tights bodystocking things. Just not high fashion. We want to see creativity and, as you say, interpretation of the theme. A twist! A spin! Just not another sheer nude, diamante'd bodycon thing. Argh. Haha

i really agree with your point about kim last year!! this year i loved dove cameron's dress and the history behind sir lewis hamilton's outfit i feel every year the dresses get more bland and more off theme :(

Sooooo agree I loved this vid tho but tbf there’s nothing u said which I could have added on at all lol!! Rly sad I wait all year to talk about the met and this is what it gives us

idk i really didn't like zendays blue and green outfit. imo the proportions were odd, the colors weird, and the fabric kind of cheap looking - it just did not sit well with me. Furthermore, it kind of looks like a childs drawing or like a shein version of nature inspired dress

So originally, the Met gala was just high society people/philanthropists raising funds and appreciating the exhibit and theme. Now it involves celebrities and unfortunately influencers going above and beyond the original idea. Its cool that it's evolved but I don't think every piece needs to be a COSTUME. We can appreciate beautifully crafted and tailored clothes without it being like The Capitol. That's not the point of the Met Gala, it's no longer about the exhibit but rather the individual celebrities themselves, and then as a second thought the fashion houses. I enjoy the opulent and campy looks but it isn't what's most important, and I don't think it's necessary to be outrageous to wear beautiful, on-theme clothes. (But any guy just wearing a black suit needs to be turned away at the door, because come on...)

I thought very little about it oops :/ I didn't really like it at all, I thought it kind of missed the idea of it being a fAsHioN show, like she wore a wet dress ... she said that the water was bc you water a garden or smth like that but really I don't think the look conveyed that... then she just walked around naked. which defeats the purpose to me... what do you think??!!
