This is the all new Mercedes Maybach EQS SUV. After Mercedes made Maybach S Classes for several years since 2017, in 2021, they introduced the first Maybach SUV, the GLS Maybach. This year, they are about to introduce a similar suv like the GLS Maybach, but in electrified specifications, indeed called the Maybach EQS SUV, which is also the first electrified Maybach of all time.
In terms of power, there are two electric motors, making a combined 649 hp. It is capable of doing 0-100 km/h (0-60 mph) in around 3.5 seconds. Those specifications are completely standard if you get the EQS680 model. The EQS580 model would obviously have less power, at around 520 hp, and a slower 0-100 km/h (0-60 mph) time at an estimated 4-5 seconds.
Since this is a luxury car, it’s important that we talk about the features of the interior in this occasion. Instead of a fifth seat at the back, there is a bigger storage compartment with a fridge in the back to store all of your drinks. There is also a high end Burmester Surround Sound system which adds more speakers than any other car, especially in the back, for better stereo and sound quality. There is also some modified design on the seats, dashboard, and everywhere else around the interior. You get the newest Mercedes hyper screen (also included on EQS sedan and regular EQS SUV) along with it as well, so you can see things on the screen in a cleaner design and fashion. In the back, you are also provided with more leg room while sitting than the regular EQS SUV. This also means that you get a longer wheelbase and chassis fitting the vehicle.
Pricing of this EQS SUV Maybach hasn’t been confirmed yet, but we can guess that it will start at a higher price than both the regular EQS SUV and the Maybach GLS. To be able to get your hands on this car, you would surely have to wait until early 2024.
