I have a 2019 C-Class Coupe and let’s be honest here this is just an updated version of that car, albeit just larger. The only saving grace is the 450 spec option for those that don’t want to spend crazy money for the AMG53 version. I feel sorry for existing E-Class Coupe owners as this is not an upgrade for them at all. Not much ‘E’ in the CLE. Think Mercedes have shot themselves in the foot with no S-Class Coupe or E-class Coupe means that prospective buyers are being pushed to look at other manufactures. BMW 8 series coupe springs to mind. For me as current C-class coupe owner I would seriously look at one of the last examples of the E-Class coupes as my next car as I can’t really see the value of this CLE at the moment which is just a C-Class replacement at E-class money.

Now hang on just a minute. If the CLE gets an inline 6-cylinder engine why can't we have the same engine in the regular C class? In the C class every single engine is either a 3 or 4-cylinder. Even the C63 S AMG is a 4-cylinder hybrid these days. This is just getting stupid.

Why are you asking yourself that? Cause the C Class isn't a CLE. Ask yourself more why the CLE63 is a 4 cylinder

Basically CLE uses same platform as C class. And C class carried over the platform from previous W205. So technically V8 can be fitted into this in terms of engine room and of course I6 can be easily fitted. No surprise at all, calm down.

you're absolutely right. they've ruined the c43 and c63 amg cars...i was planning on buying a new one, now i'll never consider paying $70K plus for a shitty 4 cylinder

The body is kind of reminiscent of the old S65 and a bit of the M4 models with the rear lights and length

The car is amazing. The only thing I don’t like is the screen, it looks like the screen was just put there. I would like for the screen to be more integrated into the dashboard, but the car looks amazing.

There won't be another E coupé or even S Coupé or Cabriolet. This is all they got today, which is laughable compared to S Coupé models.

Bring back the CL/S Coupe since we only get a Cle...

….There used to be 3!! Don’t forget the magnificent S-class coupe and convertible. I would MUCH RATHER find a gently used S-class 2-door convertible for the same money as this new CLE…..100%!!!

Loving that watch! Smooth presentation. Did they run out of paint? Looks old, like it's been through too many abrasive car wash cycles. Another plonked on, velkro'd ipad. Why can't Mercedes be more creative and design an integrated cohesive dash where components are embedded rather than just stuck on.

Those fake exhausts are not just ugly, they're embarrassing

Way too cramped in the back and the boot lid should have been incorporated with the back window, too damn narrow to get anything large inside it. Completely unpractical design but it is pretty.

cheap trash inside. Not comparable to the interior quality or design of the outgoing e-coupe on any level. Yeah, it might look great and have the space of the E-coupe, but it's unacceptable. To be fair, the 206 c-class interior is unacceptable at its price point. They spent all their R&D/design money on electric cars and MBUX. I wouldn't be so disappointed if MB offered higher quality materials & build quality for the CLE over top of the C-class interior design. Faux luxury :(
