Twin turbo charged 6 cylinder for the win!

the sound is confusing, only more clips eventually we will be able to tell.

What a strange sound! Is it a fake sound via speakers? I can`t say, if it`s a 4- or 6-cylinder-engine.

Don’t think AMG will a put a 4cyl in this if there’s already a 6cyl available in the CLE 450 … This and the amg version of the new E class will most probably be a 3.0L IL6 imo (hybrid ofc).

They have a tuning problem with thier V6 engine. They need to borrow from BMW to produce over 600hp or simply bring back the V8 plug in hybrid like they are doing in GT63s four door. The M139 engine can only be tuned up to 450 hp which is less power to top spec AMGs.

the AMG version of the E-class will only be the 53 that drivetrain is not powerful enough for the 63. The GLC does also come with 6cylinder version in the base model (GLC 450d) but the AMG models are 4 cylinder

I guarantee you a potential CLE 63 will have the 4 cylinder hybrid system from the new C63, like how the original M3 had a 4-cylinder whereas the normal contemporary 3 series had a 6-cylinder. May 2024 edit: damn, looks like the CLE 63 will get a V8. Guess I was wrong.

Question is with the poor C63SE sales will they repeat the same recipe knowing that demand is poor for a 2.0 litre M3/M4 and RS4 Rival?

That sounds like a typical 4 cylinder coupled with an electric power train at the front, you can hear it at 1:15

mercedes sales are extremely down and this is what they crapped out ?

Seems a bit heavy on the curves but it's probably perfect for the Autobahn

Sometimes when you made a mistake, it's very important to humble yourself and correct it before is too late. Mercedes Benz must bring V8 back to CLE 63 and all the 63 models and please bring back S65 and 63 Coupes! Humble yourself and accept that you made a fatal mistake which sales of C63s are an embarrassment and shame as evidence that people need V8 back!!!

Nope… CLE 53 AMG gets the 6Zyl and the CLE 63 AMG gets the drive train from the new C63 AMG (4zyl hybrid /w 680HP)

I have a C63S, some parts of this video sounds like a V8 being covered up by the added wind noise layered on the video to disguise it. Listen at 2:39 you can hear a deep burble. If we don’t get a V8, I’m not upgrading until 2026 which Mercedes rumored they will go back to a V8.

Go look up CAFE regulations. They can’t cram a “gas-guzzling” V8 into a small couple like this with high production numbers anymore. Because they still wanted to make 600+ hp, but be compliant to increasingly strict emissions regulations, they had to opt for the 4 cyl hybrid. Don’t get me wrong, everyone would prefer they put the 4.0 in this, but they didn’t have a choice. Luckily, they can keep the 4.0 in the new AMG GT and the SL roadster for now because they’re lighter and the production numbers are lower, but they probably won’t be able to within a few years.

That’s no V8 😢
