Turbo would make it so much quicker

There is a lower plate in the back that goes toward that 2nd shelf in the rear...making back flush with seats down...it's been that way last 4 years

This is a worthy and spiritual successor to the discontinued Honda Fit.. it's a nice car.

Such a great review! We just downsized our 2015 Nissan armada for this exact model (same exterior color). So far loving this car. We are averaging 38 mpg instead of the 13 we used to get on the armada 👍🏽 Excellent job with this video!!

​@@703SpeedI agree. I had a 2009 pt cruise limited in pastel yellow. I loved it and when I got a new car, I chose the soul. It's so similar and with the warranty, it was the best way to go. Mine doesn't have the technology package tho.

You failed to show the Sport Mode while driving which doubles the RPM when driving and makes it take off and pass with ease.

I purchased this vehicle last month and I love it. Great video.

I purchased my 2024 kia soul 2 weeks ago and love it

I bought that one. You can lift the trunk liner into the higher grooves and then the floor is flat. I get a lot of compliments on the color. The only downside is you cannot get heated seats and moonroof with this color combination. I am very happy with this vehicle.

I am getting a heated seat put in the drivers side only for $300.

I have a Surf Blue 2024 Soul S...as of yesterday. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. Edit: not only is it fun to drive, but today (about 10 days in) our mileage on a drive was 44.9 average. I took a photo because it was hard to believe. LOL

Great review , I just wish you would have accelerated with the sport mode to see if there was a big difference in power.

The floor in the cargo area is adjustable and made to be flush with the rear seats folded or to allow for taller items when it’s at the lowest setting. Also, my Mustang has 305 HP and the torque is rated at 280 lbs ft. When I drove the Soul 🚙 and the Forte with the 2.0 liter, neither felt underpowered by any means. In fact, they were both very fun to drive. The Soul is a great combination of generous Cargo space, unique/ cool styling, great fuel economy, affordable pricing and a great warranty. That’s very difficult to find these days. After driving the Soul, these expensive vehicles are not even close to being worth the ridiculous prices there asking, and never were. AWD is not needed if you know how to drive and have good tires , I live in the snow belt and have very little issues with RWD. Also, the IVT is the big reason why the mileage is so good and getting the most out of the engine during accelerations. Nice vehicle and looking forward to more reviews with reasonably priced vehicles. Thank you.

I purchased the 2024 version of one of these GT Line models just this week, because I haven't seen a better way to get this much car for so little money?? (And I can't argue with the value, and utility these offer for my situation.) Anyway, I've been learning about all the features, and your video was a HUGE help!!

Love this, Honda HR-v,and the Toyota Carolla Cross! Trying to narrow it down!

I bought this car with the Technology Package a couple of months ago, but I wish I hadn't. I got it because of the way it drove on test runs - very nice acceleration for 147 hp, responding quickly to just a slight touch of the gas pedal. However, you have to live with a car at least a week to realize what you don't like if you didn't notice it right off the bat. Maybe next time I'll buy only from dealers that give you a 3-day return option. My issues: - Not enough roominess. I like to drive in a high seating position these days. Since the cabin is not roomy enough, even though I'm short and not overweight, I have to take the power seat all the way down to exit comfortably and raise it after getting seated for the next drive segment. That gets old after a while on a day with many stops. I should've bought the Seltos, which drives similarly well and is well-equipped at the same price but is a normal SUV. - Controls you'd like to stay in the same position as your last drive don't, such as entertainment screens, sport mode, etc. -The info screens are not well-designed. For example, the lettering is too small, and the current artist/song inscription is way off to the right instead of being closer to the field of vision while driving. Basically, my driver/owner satisfaction lags behind my previous vehicle, the Ford Escape 2.0 turbo.

I think the floor of the hatch lifts up to make the floor flat with the seats when they are down. 🙂

This vehicle over for what it is and the fantastic gas milage excellent good looks over is a winner. The get up and go is just fine for the other advantages you get and nails it.

Ive been with my redzone 2016 top trim (exclaim model) for over a year It has 35k miles been doing all maintenance before the actual date But I drive like a maniac. Literally have the hooligan sticker in the back Drifting , usually driving at 80, racing with friends Really hope it lasts me years to come

A crappy CVT these are the worst things that the manufacturers have ever crammed down our throats

curious we have an S model ( i think) as a rental and it doesnt have WIRED but wireless android auto, not sure why the more expensive model wouldnt have that... maybe it was an update?

Sold Kias for years. If the vin doesnt start with K you should pass on it, always. The torquing at the Alabama and Mexico plants is shoddy at best. If you are buying used pull the outside plugs. If there is any oil residue on them, its a loser. We had brand new Souls burning a quart of oil every 2k. Lastly, good luck getting the airbags to deploy. Ive seen brand new Optimas and Fortes take a hard impact, roll and not a single bag deployed. I worked for one of the largest dealerships in Texas for about five years. I would never buy a Kia. Used or new. Save ten percent more and buy a Honda or a Toyota. You will get a lot more value for the cash.

Nobody talks about it how it feels like a horse wagon when going over bumps and how they keep pushing the price up with mandatory floor mats and cargo nets and how bad the radios are with messages and delayed dialing

Here's where Kia makes their biggest mistake with this long-running vehicle-I like how they have cleaned up the front end- they have targeted this to only a certain demographic-there should be an option of AWD- a real transmission -raise it up a few inches- roof rails - vertical fog lights in those slots on either side- an increase in horsepower-black protective wheel wells and base boards- this would make this a HOT Hatch- call it the Baja Soul or Trail Edition- then I would be interested !! Get busy Kia- make this appeal to all the masses

Yeahhhh no, you’re incorrect about needing AWD and a “real” transmission. The soul is perfect as it as a city car, you want more power and a geared transmission? Go buy a seltos, it exists for literally that reason.
