Why do I keep saying “new” in quotes?
This is a facelift model year
The JL has been out since the 2018 model year
And now 5 years later it gets an incredibly subtle update
But that’s kind of the way of the Wrangler - sticking to it’s roots
So what’s new outside
Well the grille is a little,ready? Shorter
Also it’s darker
And they’ve had to rework the cooling since smaller
And that’s basically it from the exterior
The grille is like the only major update for 2023
The winch
But I should mention that NOW you can spec this WARN winch from factory
WARN is one of teh most prolific brands of Winch out there
Much better than the shmittybilt
This one has an 8000 lb capacity
You always want like 1.5x your vehicle’s weight in a winch

The new grille was designed with this winch in mind
Antenna
Also they removed the long floppy antena
The antena is actually worked into the windshield
Which is Gorilla GLass btw
And still folds down onto these hood grommets

This is the 4XE, what does that mean?
It means it’s a plug in hybrid
It’s actually te best-selling PHEV on the market
40% of wrangler sales
It’s a 2.0T 4 cylinder
Very wheezy
But with the 2 electric motors
375 hp
470 lbft - same as V8 392
0-60 in 6 sec - not slow
Just sounds terrible
Just over 20 miles of EV range

Efficiency
You have 3 modes
In eSave mode you get 15-17 mpg depending on wind
In hybrid that goes up to whopping 20 or 21
But with a full battery and full tank you’re still going less than 300 miles

4XE gets a tow rating of 3500 lbs
That’s less than the V6 AND the 2.0T
That’s cuz this thing weighs over 5200 lbs
Can get up to 5000 lbs
But only with the V6 and auto transmission
And the Dana 44s

CANT get the 35 in Xtreme Recon package with the 4XE

But i love the Earl Gray paint

Interior upgrades
Some of the changes they made for 24 cant be seen
They’ve not got side curtain airbags std
Not for sport trim tho
They did a lot to reduce NVH
But it’s still a Jeep and still louder than a bronco
And now you have power seat controls

Still not full digital
Which of course you can get on the Bronco
Jeep said they didn’t want to overwhelm their customers

Thanks 👍 that was awesome 👌 I have the 4×e 2023 bikini blue 💙 it's an awesome ride. I haven't gone off roading in it but I love it and the color attracts people and they love the look. Never in my wildest dreams would I ever had thought that I would be blessed to have one. I haven't had it a year so it only has a little over 6,000 miles.

@loualbert6051 I don't use the electtric mode but I have seen that announcement, when I go to do my recall I'll ask them about it
i have the 2023 Rubicon 4xe 20th anniversary, and the only way to leave the forward camera on all the time is to remove the 4x4...with 4x4, the camera goes off at around 15 MPH

Since I haven't been off road it's just as clean as when I got it, that's just me I love clean rides. I'm looking for the 2024 and I can't wait to see them in person. I'm leasing it's the way to go for me. The instrument cluster IS a Willys that morphs into a JL Rubicon
I made it 13 seconds before I turned it off. I was really interested in the stuff that you had to say.

Oh and idk about yours, but my front windows are automatic down, just not up.
For the price !!!! And no 360 camara
I would hate a digital speedometer and cluster. I hope we never get one.

You should research how much energy is used to produce one gallon of gas. And while you are at it, see how much water is used. Battery tech is the future.

I owned a beautiful 2018 JLUR in red with a 3in lift on big tires.. Few things i learned.. 1. the tech is pointless, the uconnect is crap, it looks good, sounds good, has lots of cool functions, in a year or two none of it will work. 2. The ride is horrible.. between vague steering and ultra loud road noise even with the hard top and insulation it's not refined. 3. you don't buy one for mpg. 4. if you're like me and like a manual transmission, buy the bronco, jeep still has a recall on the clutch, mine had been replaced 4 times.. lastly.. They are toyota people, i traded my jeep in for a gx460.. but i do miss it..
Yikes. You can literally see the door jams from inside the vehicle... how unrefined.. I get it, it's not a unibody, has solid axle.. but refine the interior or people are gonna jump to the landcruiser since it does it better.
I don’t prefer a digital gauge cluster because if the computer chip ever goes bad you’re screwed
Im purposely not buying until they give digital dash

Why is everyone bragging about this Jeep it's just a square cracker box it has to be hard on gas why would anybody want this and this day and time with the gas prices going up there's a lot better looking vehicles then this and cheaper on gas I don't understand where is the attraction I can't find it
