What a concert! I sat on my couch half asleep yesterday after a nice lunch and her playing woke me up completely! I sat absorbed in the concert not even able to take a bio break! The way the percussionists synched up and the team rapport was a spectacle by itself. I am sure SB Sir was in the front seat nodding his head in appreciation. Exceptional talent and May God bless!

Very few people deserve to be called "a phenomenon" and SB sir was one of them. I played a wonderful film song tuned by him as a lullaby for my grandnephew. While he is arguably the greatest vainika that ever lived, his multidimensional genius is beyond belief. His mutli styled dance in the movie Koteeswaran , his direction of the top ten Tamil movies of all time, Andha NaaL.. this KZread post may not be appropriate to talk about SB's non-musical contributions but at the core is the genius/creativity and dedication to excel in whatever he touched. I was fortunate to visit him in 1984 and meet the family Jayanthi, excellent performance !! God bless you !! We were fortunate to host you and Kumaresh some years ago in Virginia (Washington DC area)

Congratulations to all of you. Thank you for the touching, interesting, reminiscence of times with the great SB by Jayanthi. To Shantha for keeping his memory in the minds of rasikas, and to Ramu and Dharma and of course Bhartu who is making strides in the visual media. His dedication to his grandfather, and his love of the veenai comes through. I wish this artistic family many great ventures.

Thank you very much for giving the list of all the ragas played. A pity that a very few Carnatic Concerts on KZread give the details of the ragas played by the artists. It could be helpful for Westeners listeners who appreciate this music very much and want to know it better ! 🙏🕉✡☸✝☦🕎🔯☮

Nice performance,but Balachandar sir used fingerings, spuritham, separation of fingers extensively,not only pulling.
