    I could not agree more. Despite people saying it is not as good sounding as past F-types, I personally disagree with that. On balance I believe that they have arrived at the exhaust setup that is livable for the average being. I’ve listened to some videos of the F-type SVR. For me that would be old very fast. It is just too obnoxious. I bet I would love it for about a week, and then I’d be wanting a setup closer to what they have arrived at in the end for this latest variant of the F-type. To each their own, but I find that level of burble tune a bit juvenile. Perhaps I’m getting old.

    hearing 'one of the last ftypes' almost brought a tear to my eye. In 2013, i was barely beginning to get interested in cars, and i stumbled upon a video on youtube showcasing the f type. I instantly made it my dream car, the sound of it is just stellar, but i absolutely love the tail lights. The tail lights are just too sick, and i hope they make a performance EV f type in the near future to ensure it doesn't truly die out

    I find it amazing that more people don’t see the value proposition that is there with this car. I’m speaking purely from the perspective of the style, vibe, and performance it brings for the price. I understand how someone who changes cars like underwear might not view it the same way though. These cars are worse than most for depreciation. That is hard to deny. I really do believe that anyone holding this car long term will be less affected by that though with the current mandates and direction happening around EVs.

    The F-Type definitely sounds great. The price bracket it's in makes it hard to justify spending that on a Jag though with so many other options. The LC500 is much nicer if your leaning towards luxury, there's also Porsche options, or if your looking for more of a performance car a M3/M4 comp, optioned out C8, or a GTR.

    @@danielmiller9012SL55 is not substantially out performing this car, if at all. A quick search says it’s slower. The LC? Please. Reliability and looks, but slow AF in comparison. • @dlj1285

    @dlj1285

    Despite what you say, there are many out there that feel the F-type has a place. As soon as performance matters to a purchaser in a more serious way you can forget the LC. Porsche pricing and conditions around car purchases are out to lunch these days, and they sound like vacuum cleaners. Caymans feel a bit juvenile to me compared to an F-type, my opinion only. BMW M4/M3…They have the performance chops if that’s what you’re looking for but they are ugly as sin, and if you want to talk about reliably issues, look no further than BMW these days. An F-type could be argued to be more reliable. C8, proportions are away off, tacky looking really, Z06 improves things…Good performer, you are driving a GM and having to deal with the Malibu mechanic for your service. GTR, now that’s laughable….The prices new on those are insane, also a very juvenile car, but performant. F-type R is sexy as hell, sounds good, has good performance, has some decent luxury, and the later cars are pretty darn worked out and reliable. It has its merits and buyer.

    Is there a difference between the P450 and the P575 in terms of Engine Sound or anything else except the more power, faster acceleration and higher topspeed?

  • @TheProjectManager100

    @TheProjectManager100

    9 ай бұрын

    So in my personal opinion I find no difference between the two. I was recently in the market for a sports car GT type and I had narrowed my search down to the Jaguar F-Type and the LC500. After test driving both cars and also previously owning both brands, I decided to go with the Jaguar F-Type. So I purchased a brand new P450 3 weeks ago for my birthday. I wanted the R but I could not justify the approximately $25k higher price point. The only difference that I found is that the R has an extra 125 HP, has heated steering wheel, has heated and cooled (ventilated) seats, and has slightly wider tires in the back (305s where the P450 has 295s). Those were the only differences that I found. So I may not be able to add a heated steering wheel and heated/cooled seats in my car but I can easily have it tuned with the AP Velocity tune for $1k which will take my P450 from 450HP to slightly over 600HP. I can always add wider tires (the 305s) in the back for around $300 to $500 a tire, depending on which brand I go with. So if I was to do all this I can basically have it like the R version and save myself around $23k. They both have the same engine and make the same sounds. Loving my P450!

    False. Sorry. I own an svr. The crackles and pops are in normal and dynamic, auto or manual flappy paddles. I can get it crackling at all speeds in any mode. Also, its not an active exhaust. The sound is muffled by a baffle in the exhaust as standard when you get in. When you press the button it just switches it off, or in mech terms, it opens the baffle. It sounds so loud as standard jag had to dampen it. There is no 'making it louder by adding sound'. Its pure bark!

    @@NDEEZMiata Before I sold mine I had over 130K miles on it and didn't have any mechanical problems. I did regular maintenance and it always ran great.

    Same thought tbh, love the F-Type but damn if Tata hasn’t left Jaguar for dead

    no it wasn't unreliability, it was trying to become a 'BMW copy' resulting in boring cars, why would anyone buy an XE or XF when the 5 or 3 series does everything better and the poor sales figures to back this up. i'm a die hard jaguar fan but i'll openly admit their current products are incredibly dire (besides the F-Type and XJ which neither are made anymore), they should never have tried to go mainstream because the brand has zero identity anymore. if the brand dies, it'll be because of their decision to move to EV only. consumers should have choice between ICE and EV, forcing them to one powertrain will put people off

    The V8 F-Type is the most reliable Jaguar ever built do a little research before you make comments but you are correct about most of the rest of their stuff

    I really don't understand why the haven't put the newer and massively better Pivi Pro infotainment system in these but oh well.
