The next chapter in the story of the venerable Toyota LandCruiser 70 Series is set to begin with the Australian arrival of the heavily upgraded 4x4 range, sporting new styling, upgraded technology, and a second powertrain option never before offered on the 70 Series.
the current-generation 70 Series range has been available exclusively with the 1VD-FTV 4.5-litre turbo-diesel V8 engine and five-speed manual transmission.
The 4.5-litre turbo-diesel V8 produces 151kW at 3400rpm and 430Nm from 1200-3200rpm and, paired with a five-speed manual, will continue to be offered on all 70 Series variants with the exception of the 76 Series WorkMate.
However the upgraded LandCruiser introduces the 1GD 2.8-litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, for the first time in the 70 Series.

Ineos has made quite the splash in the off-road SUV market with its Grenadier and now the British newcomer is expanding into the pick-up segment with another model - the Ineos Grenadier Quartermaster. This new arrival is effectively a double-cab pick-up version of the Grenadier SUV and it’s been revealed for the first time at the 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
To create the pickup variant, Ineos made the Quartermaster's ladder frame a full 12 inches longer to accommodate the bed at the rear. At 5.3 feet wide and 5.2 feet long, it's large enough to fit standard European pallets, and just a touch smaller than the short bed you might find on a Toyota Tundra. It's rated for a 1,653 pound payload, while the 7,700-pound tow rating matches that of the regular Grenadier.
The Ineos Grenadier Quartermaster measures 5400mm long, 2146mm wide , and 2019mm tall on a 3227mm wheelbase.
Ineos has shown off the Quartermaster with a nice welded round-bar setup around the bed, which should prove useful for tying things down. The bed also features tie-down rings and a 400-watt power socket. The tailgate itself is 4.2 feet wide and can take a load of 496 pounds if you and a buddy want to sit in the back and shoot the breeze.
Ineos boasts of the Quartermaster’s “class-leading” off-road capabilities, with 264mm of ground clearance and an 800mm wading depth. Its maximum approach, breakover and departure angles are 35.5deg, 26.2deg and 22.6deg, respectively.
The Ineos Grenadier Quartermaster will use the same BMW-sourced 3.0-litre turbocharged inline six-cylinder petrol and diesel engines as the wagon, running through an eight-speed ZF-sourced automatic gearbox and full-time four-wheel-drive system with low range.

    Well since I can’t get a 70 Series in the U.S. (Cause Toyota seems to hate money) the Quartermaster seems like the next best thing.

    not bad like both of them , over the jeeps best gladiator rubicon has a low 1200 lb payload wb is 138 " and 218 " overall
