@@NowinLao correct, big finger me, speak Lao (medium/Isazn stile), not low or the not north (LuangPrabang). She at a memory loss recovery for me.

Great location to the Hmong New Years celebration. The hill top overlooking a community below and the expansion of it. So many people there all the lovely young lady in traditional garments. You can keep all your fancy star rated hotels. I reckon dinner in a small village with a family like that is a better, more heart warming experience than anything. Always love the photos at the end. They seem to really capture the moment. Choice of music 🎼 too ❤

Hi Guys. Great to see how the Hmong know how to keep their cultural difference alive. It reminds me that although my family are not Hmong I should make an effort to get up the road next year and see it for myself. Great black and whites again, you really should consider a book, I am sure many would be interested.

Hope to return to Laos 🇱🇦 in April. Will be looking for short term rental and starting process of moving to Laos in the next year.

Welcome back to the game,Brother! I will never cease to be amazed by the sheer numbers of the delicate,,gorgeous women in the magnificent,,wonderful traditional clothing. The colors as well,,on a bit of an overcast day,, the colors just explode. Mina was looking a bit tired,,but I bet shes having an amazing time looking at and exploring the festival. Cant wait for the new series,,and I'm glad Troopy lived up to and maybe exceeded you expectations. We got smacked by bitter cold yesterday,,thru Sunday. The high today was minus 11f ,,windchill temp minus 35f. Northwest Montana was expecting more wind,,and there were area that were expected to hit minus80f. That is some wicked cold dangerous temps🥶🥶🥶 very bitter indeed. Bare skin in that freezes in about 2 minutes. What side of Phonsavan is this held as it is doing our heads in as having been there only a couple of months ago? Is it the same side of the plain of jars Site 1? When we were there in October at night it cooled down ol mate but Craters looked after us.

Mate, would you have a contact number for a guesthouse up in Long Tieng you could share? I"m in Phonsavan now and want to see the old secret airbase if I can. But no info on the net or locally about guesthouses to make reservations up there. I taught English to Hmong refugees 30 years ago so would love to see where it all happened. Pete Barker
