Yes! Synestia is incredible! Maleficium has nothing but bangers on it, and the album closer Aeterna, is so beautiful, it still makes me weepy, every time.

They honestly do symphonic deathcore better than most other symphonic deathcore bands.

I have been listening to this song since it came out. And I still get goosebumps during the pauses in the breakdown. Insane stuff! \m/

very much agree with ending breakdowns being very overused atm. blakes done the same in the poetic edda however DT does stand out since blake does make these breakdowns very unique. its never just a simple ish rhythmic pattern like something like to the hellfire or viking, he always adds a lot of details, and for example the TPE breakdown i dont think ever repeats a rhythm, instead it just flows. when it comes to slow and brutal breakdowns (as opposed to groove) i think DT has nailed it

I agree, that’s my only critique of the EP. Most is unpredictable but all have the heavy breakdown at the end. Tbh, I think winter is better without the breakdown (or at least a shortened one). Nobody roast me too hard for this take 😂
