Our family of 4 spent a week here and we had the time of our lives. Service was great and food was really good for an all inclusive hotel. I believe all rooms are ocean view and if you plan on going to isla mujeres the ultramar ferry station is literally a 5 min walk. Tip: after checking in, do your dinner reservations right away

I went to Grand Fiesta Americana last year in Cancun and loved it. The beach is perfect and I loved the service there. Greatest staff ever.

Go back now that they have new restaurants open. The food has improved a lot!

I love it too. In case I didn't mention it, the Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach is a favorite of mine. I love the beach, the rooms, the cafe and all of the new restaurants. It's really hard to do better than this resort. But it IS sometimes really expensive so I shop around for the right dates to get it at a decent price.

is there a big selection for lunch and dinner at the buffets ? what is a better resort that you have stayed at ? our favorite so far is the Barcelo Maya Palace but they dont have any pool view rooms available for this July

The buffets are not always open for lunch and dinner. It depends on occupancy. They have several sit down restaurants open for lunch - the taco place on the beach (the food there is great), the Bikini bar serves burgers, salads, etc, and you can eat at the bar, or get lounge service from the waiters, the grill by the pool that is set up and does sausages, chicken, steak, etc, and the fish house, which although their focus is on seafood, has a lot of different options to choose from. For dinner, they have a bunch of new restaurants - Japanese, Argentine steakhouse, Mexican and Italian.This hotel is one of my favorites, because the pool deck is so beautiful and the beach is actually swimmable. No big waves and undertow on this part of the beach. My other favorite is the Marriott Cancun All-Inclusive. They have the best food and cocktails on the beach, IMO.

We are going this coming August existed. Does the hotel provide shuttle from airport to hotel or have to take taxi ???

I do when I am in Mexico. It feels wrong to leave nothing, although a lot of people don't tip at all. So I tip $1 to anyone who provides a service, and more to the bellmen and maids.

When i went i used 20 Pesos that way they don't have to worry about exchanging currency. I tipped 20 pesos per round of drinks and meals i usually tipped 100 pesos. i found if you tipped servers come around to refill you faster.

What is inclusive? As far as eating/drinking

All food and drinks. So all the restaurants on property and drinks at the bar. They have extra costs for some premium items, but it will be clearly stated if anything is extra. It's easy to eat and drink without paying any uncharges.
