$69k fully loaded?? You’re better off getting a mid trim Yukon at that price.

Just save $10k and get a fully loaded CX-90.

@adams1696 Mazda is trying (for the 2nd or 3rd time, I think) to enter into the premium or luxury car space. So they designed a new RWD chassis, new powertrains (a new turbocharged i6 and PHEV powertrain with a new 8 speed automatic transmission), a more upscale interior than the usual competition and then increased the price over the CX-9 to reflect that. Recall that the CX-9 was never this expensive despite having a better interior than its competition.
I'll never understand why GMC went back and forth size wise with the Acadia over its three generations. What were they trying to do by making the 2nd generation much smaller than the first, then realising that they need to go bigger for the third?
I like his honesty on the car.
Excellent video Brian!

The next GMC to get a complete overhaul is the GMC Terrain and then all the vehicles will pretty much be up to date

The reveal should be pretty soon. I think they got to see both the terrain and Yukon at this drive event.

@@DeadAir21 We did not, however you can see the Terrain and Yukon fully undisguised over at GMAuthority.
The New Acadia does not need paddle shifters! What is does need is a second row 40/20/40 bench seating and 2.7 Turbo Engine found in the Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon pickup trucks.
There’s vents in the ceiling in 2nd row

This is the first Acadia that actually looks good
I saw one today. Thought it was a Honda Pilot
Missing the hybrid

According to GM you don't want a hybrid. What you really want is a Hummer EV or a Cadillac Dumbtiq without carplay 🤣

Everything doesn't have a be a damn hybrid....for fcks sake. 🙄🙄
Uhhhh. The interior is a mess. What even?
Let me guess: this new turbo engine means it needs premium gas
@brianroskelly2177
14 күн бұрын
No. Turbo doesn't mean premium gas. You're always welcome to pay more to put it in there, though.
It looks outdated already. That 2.5 is loud and coarse and it doesn't feel like it really has 328 Horsepower. Their are better options that cost less. Grand Highlander, Palisade Caligraphy, Atlas etc.
Captain chairs on second row and cramped space on "trunk". Better go to a minivan though.
The engine sounds terrible, ruins the entire experience of the vehicle. Specially compared to the older V6.
$68k is making this reach Cadillac XT6 pricing territory even the XT6 isn't on this platform yet & is smaller than this in interior size
compete with kia tellride honda pilot
Why all of a sudden everyone is crying hybrid like really wats going on 6 months ago it was less of a issue now that's all you car reviews talk about something going on smh
@brianroskelly2177

Nothing going on. Hybrids have proven to give us the best of both worlds in terms of power and efficiency. Thus, we want more of them. The market is backing that up.

Agreed, I'd rather keep getting sub 25 mpg. The lack of a hybrid option is the only thing keeping me from purchasing this vehicle, unfortunately.
Good review Brian! A very overpriced GMC, though. I'd buy a Expedition or Tahoe for almost $70k
Pricey for no v6. Too many are ditching the v6 for these turbos and they are not all that great.
Looks like the previous gen Honda Pilot with a nose job
Hear me out….I’ll give you $30k…

White seats are the worst to clean.

Known for transmission failures, FWD & AWD versions. The last-gens V6 engine was a POS too, sludge issues galore 😮
GM just killed the Acadia with the too small turbo 4 cylinder, this is 4700-pound vehicle. Turbo tells you the engine is way too small, so they pressurize it to try to make it be more powerful. There is no substitute for cubic inches, horsepower and torque. Extremely overpriced.
Who the hell is this dude.
