2024 Giant Reign Advanced vs 2023

The 2024 Giant Reign is now available for sale in Canada. For American viewers, you can use the Canadian prices and make the currency conversion. And so, I wanted to investigate this new model for any new features, component changes and price range. I also wanted to compare it to prior years models and identify which model would be the best to buy.

29"wheels, 170/146mm of front/rear suspension travel

There is a crash in the bike market right now. I saw that there were huge discounts everywhere. Huge warehouse stocks that they cannot sell. Giant Reign Advanced Pro 1 2023 was 6800 CAD on several online webshops. I asked the local bike shop if they could provide me with this price. Giant gave me the bike for CAD 6,000. In summary. The bicycle industry is on the verge of collapse. In recent years, giant has tried to price itself in line with "premium boutique" brands such as Santacruz and Specialized, as they sell the same quality. But it didn't work. I'm glad that I was able to get this great bike at a "good" price and I was able to exchange my 2021 29 1 aluminum reign. I love the geometry of the 2023-2024 reign. Seat tube angle 79. I feel that this will be my most perfect bike for my riding style.

Sounds like you got a smokin deal! And yes, I am very aware of the crashing prices for all MTBs and parts. I've been keeping an eye on the most recent Reigns, hoping that I can upgrade my 2021 Reign Advanced 1 to the newer versions that now come with 160mm rear travel. And I agree that, at least for me, the 2023 & 2024 Reigns are the perfect bike for my style as well! Thanks for watching!
Building a 2024 frame this year and itll be my last one for awhile. This way i can put it together and know how to take apart because i cant trust my local shops after a broken derailleur after they adjusted it. Getting the old stuff serviced and selling it in place of the giant reign.

That’s probably a good idea! I love the geometry and setup of the 2024 Reign frame and to customize the wheels and components would be a perfect match. Thanks for watching!

@@ronsanderson99 of course. Im going balls to the wall on the rainbow frame lol. It just speaks to me and the geo will fit me perfectly for everything i ever do as long as i can do it lol.

Wow 2 for 1…I knew the industry is having trouble selling bikes but that is crazy. Maybe it’s time to buy a new bike!
Wow! They are going to sell a boatload of these. I row boat load. News flash, its not 2022 anymore. Every bored millionaire who wanted to buy an MTB and "try mountain biking" already did. The industry crash will continue to collapse and will continue for years. LOL

Yup, it's not 2022...and the demand for bikes has collapsed...but if anyone is in the market right now, they should still shop around. I've seen guys get huge discounts on existing 2023 models. And these bikes might get even cheaper!
