$310? Samsung's own website seems to have the S9 FE at $350 almost always on sale at that price. If the 2024 S6 Lite is available for $250 then maybe it'd be a choice, but at $300 or more I'd say just pony up a few bucks more for the added storage, better screen, more RAM, and better refresh rate.

Amazon had an offer of this tablet plus a free $100 Amazon gift card, so I ordered it for my husband. Unfortunately, when he paired is Phonak hearing aids with the S6 Lite, there was a consistent lag in sound from streaming videos that we could not troubleshoot. One weird thing was that the hearing aids paired through something on the S6 called Hear Music, rather than just plain old Bluetooth. So we ordered a 2023 A8, and the hearing aids paired just fine. I'm thinking of keeping the S6 for myself, since I use an ancient iPad Mini that just barely keeps up. Thanks for your review!

i got this for my son and he's glued to it, he loves it, he's always drawing on it and seeing him excell in digital art brings a joy to my eyes, as I'm old school fine artist and the digital art skipped my generation as its paper and canvas or nothing, but damn I love this thing as its the only piece of tech in the house where we can bond over our shared joy of drawing, and I love that he's teaching me how to use photoshop, and I'm teaching him to oil paint, I still cant get him to draw in a sketchbook but I'm slowly coming around to digital art, its one of those things where I was drawing on it and after a little while I completely forgot I was drawing on a tablet

I got the 2022 version. Upgraded to the A9+ bout a month ago. No problem with the S6L at all. Still works as well as it did on day one. Samsung makes VERY reliable tech. Excellent video.

If you don't need a stylus, go for the A9+. If the Stylus is important to you, get the S6 Lite 2024. Of course, the price they're quoting now isn't realistic, so we'll definitely take the S9 FE for a few bucks more. But on discounts, the price of the A9 plus and this tablet is almost the same. 60hz vs 90hz, stylus vs no stylus? A decision you have to make yourself. Samsung just doesn't want their tablets to compete with each other. That's why sometimes they do such strange things. And get rid of outdated components, of course (don't forget that the a53 with this processor did not sell well).

I was in the same dilemma A9+ vs S6 lite 2024 vs S9 FE. A9+ would be good enough for the media consumption but the s6 adds a stylus but the best is to go ahead add a few more bucks and take the S9 FE when some sales are on.

I have S6 lite 2022 with 64 GB internal storage. In your opinion, is it worthed to upgrade to S6 lite 2024 with 128 GB internal storage? Because I need more internal storage but with limited budget, also I need the S pen sometimes when using the tablet

I got a S6Lite (2022 version) and to me that the 2024 version isnt much different than the model i have. The only change is the chipset Exynos 1280 which my Samsung A53 has. This chipset alot people said that its a bad when it shows lag and it heats up when gaming. To me i won't say its terrible, i would say that its mediocre (good enough) for regular tasks like school work, browsing, and light gaming. Otherwise, if you guys want my opinion I'm good with my 2022 version. What do you guys think?

Agree. I picked up the A9 plus instead and it's actually better than my 2022 S6 lite in every way. Faster , better sound, better display ( 90 htz refresh is a GAMECHANGER) and just much smoother overall. The only advantage of the S6 lite is the S pen. And after watching this video - I think if you really need the pen just get the 2022 version. Pretty much the same tablet - and much cheaper!

@@johnrigs6540 for the Exynos though, I will give credit were its due this chip was actually designed for power efficiency for a longer battery life and to resolve the matter using it will mean finishing work in school, surfing thr web, watching KZread (or watching Netflix videos), and also play some light casual games (not to be pushed); that's were the lag comes in if you open too many windows and play those hard-core games. If they were to increase the RAM to 6 it would've been better off, but if you want to just do the basics then you are better of getting the S6Lite (2024) with 4GB of RAM even though thats barely enough in today's standards. What so you think?

@kennethjoseph9309 Yea I have the 2022 as well and this new model really barely looks like an upgrade at all. Sure,the new chip is probably a little faster, but Definitely not worth trading up for it. I did pick up the A9 plus with the 8 gb and 128 storage for $219 on sale and it feels light years faster than my S6. The extra ram and the 90htz rate really make a huge difference.

My Mom bought the 2022 edition last year when it was already cheaper and she loves it.

nah i got the 2022 version, 4 gbs is enough for me, I used it to watch youtube, movies, minecraft. and I have my books there to read and my italian practice notebooks to write on, this tablet is not enough if you are playing top notch games or drawing with huge files, but as a tablet for tablet work, is great!

My 2020 is on its last legs. Amazon was offering this one with a $100 gift card for the 64 gb model. I think it's still being offered, though I have been avoiding checking because I seriously don't need any more tablets! I'm lugging my S7 FE with me now during my daily visits to my husband's nursing home. I had to break out a laptop bag because of the added size, so it hasn't been as convenient as the S6 Lite. And, I also have to carry my Bluetooth headphones because, as you know, there is no way to connect my wired ear buds. Wait. Am I talking myself into buying this 2024 model? :)

Bought the S24 in UK (only comes with exynos 2400) got 20% off the list price direct from Samsung, further 100 off trading in any old android (no matter what condition) & also the S6 Lite thrown in for free, cant complain Im yet to receive the Tab, however the only difference i see between this and the 2022 model is change to exynos (as they did with the s24 from snapdragon), The s24 has been brilliant With the S6 tab No upgrade on RAM not sure if the RAM is virtually expandable? Trying to figure out what the upgrade really is from 2022??? Great content by the way brother

What difference years make on same lite models. ‘Bought the Samsungs and Lenovos where there used to be iPads. My yesteryears were Androids, but this year will be Apple’s. My lonely waits are through since M3 iPads will be mine soon.

always thought my s6 lite 2020 was snappier than my s6 lite 2022. I liked it but traded it in for an S9 plus (which really underwhelmed me when compared to an S7FE that i also have). Currently, at least in the UK Samsung is offering a free S6 lite with the S24U....I'd imagine its the 2022 version....on that score Im sticking my 23U....still great ❤❤

Don't do that. S9FE+ has a larger display that you said you don't need. In everything else, in terms of performance, it lags behind the S7. We won't count water resistance as a significant difference.The software update is definitely a minus for the S7, but save money and wait for a better opportunity and grab the S9. Anything below that would probably be a disappointment to you.

The Tab S8 PLUS might be a nice bet for you, because you'll still have an Oled display with the same size, and on top of that you'd still have a very powerful chipset.

It is embarrassing that both A series models have options with more RAM than the S6 Lite 2024. You would think a Lite S series device would have a 6GB option. The FE starts at 6, the proper S series starts at 8, both A series choices have 8. This was a good entry level tablet that just needed more RAM. RAM Plus just isn't it. Samsung shot themselves in the foot with this.

I have 2019 version so this looks like a good choice

They should just replace the A series higher tablets with the s6 lite and price it at constant 250 dollars to make a name for themselves, if they did it would be the best tablet deal ever

I have the original but havent bothered upgrading because 4GB of Ram is just not enough to run this device. Also battery life has always been substandard on the S6L.

Is the performance gap between the A9+ and the S6Lite 2024 wide?

You do know that your BB links are for the 2022 model. From what I have been reading the 2024 model is only exclusive to Amazon for now with a $100 GC. I will stick to my 2022 model.

I have s6 lite, it has screen shadow problem, 2022 and 2024 have this problem too, TAB S9 FE is better choice, more ram and storage and 90hz display

i wish there was a tablet like the legion tablet but with s pen and purchasable outside of china the A9 to me had a trash screen and was slow the S9 fe was a bit too big this sounds pretty good to me its just... idk the s9 costs about 90$ more then this and is a decent bit better so its the question do i meet in the middle or hope for something else to release under 10 like the A9

Nah pretty equal. A9+ preforms better especially since the 128gb model has 8gb of ram while the S6 Lite only comes with 4gb ram tho the S6 has a little bit more color accuracy but smaller screen.

Depends on what you're looking for; although their performance is not far apart, the s6 lite has 4gb of ram even for the 128gb config. One the other hand it has an S pen

Sound that is someting that no one ask for and like black Friday TVs, samsung had left over to make another device.

If it would've had 6 GB of RAM, it could've been worth it, but with 4GB in 2024, it's definitely a no-go. I'll stick with the 2022 version.

I'm getting it free with my S24 Ultra.

It would be foolish to purchase this when the S9 FE is almost always around the same price and is better in literally every way possible.

Here is my take on this, I dont know about the pen I dont care about it, but if what others say that the pen here works good then I dunno, but if the pen is not important to you, get the a9+ or FE instead, on the a9+ get the 128gb because that comes with 8gb ram, FE comes with either 6 or 8 gb, you'll need that, I was on search of getting a budget tab few weeks ago and decided with the 8gb a9+, 4gb ram isnt that just good for a 300 tablet, my still alive s20fe with 6gb is showing 3.9 ram usage, if it wasnt for 6gb ram, that thing would struggle now, and if pen and higher ram is what you're after, get something else, I dunno why samsung rereleased the s6 with the same ram to be honest, even if the cpu on this is stronger than a9+, that ram will hold it back in the next few updates, I would recommend researching first before anyone of you plans to buy a tab, other than no stylus pen for a9+ the only downside of it for me is the lack of alt-dp via USBC because its only usbc 2.0, but the s6 lite is also the same.

I don't know, it isn't that much better than the 2022 version: same RAM, same storage... Only the chip is better. Not really worth it when there is the S9 FE that is much better.

You Should Investigate what the HELL is going on with the WIFI on the SAMSUNG S9 TABLETS (not sure what is going on with the new Samsung phones in this regard). is horrible! WORST WIFI CONNECTION EVER! Just google it many people are having a very bad experience with it and Samsung does not care at all :( Mi Galaxy tablet from 2014 Has way better connection than my S9 Ultra. Ultra wifi connection is Horrendous. My Huawai 5 years old phone has fantastic wifi connection in the same spot Ultra just say connected with out internet and keeps disconnecting. And my 2014 samsung tablet although is not that good as the Huawai phone is million years a head of the S9 Ultra. Many people are reporting this and Samsung just don't care at all.

It makes no sense at its price get a A9 + or S9fe.

This is garbage the tab a9 plus I got for 250 8gb ram and 128gb storage, it has 4 speakers and is 10.9 inches . So you get get the tab s 6 lite is smaller , half the ram at 4gb and o ly 2 speakers 😂.
