Blackjack is a 7-year-old gelding that stands 14.2 and weighs 1,100 lbs. He comes from fine bucking stock. Don’t let that fool you though! He is the first one to meet you at the gate. Blackjack has been one of my go-to horses for the past three years. User-friendly as anyone in our family can ride him. He has been used for every aspect of ranch work: dragging calves, doctoring outside, loading bulls. You name it, he has done it. He is strong from the horn and great to rope on and can handle anything you get your loop on. He will cross water, logs, wherever you point him, he will go. Blackjack is no stranger to a hard day’s work. He is sure-footed and has navigated rough country in the down timber and on the plains. He is not lonely or buddy sour and will ride out by himself or in a group. He rides soft, responsive to your legs, picks up his leads, stops, and will turn around.
