2024 Ford Bronco NOT SELLING - Wonder Why?

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Sales of the mighty Ford Bronco fall over 25% compared the same time last year. There are still tons of 2023 models on dealership lots and price tag points to why. People are starting to wake up and not waste huge amounts money on vehicles that may not be the most practical. It's cool SUV and all, but for price, I'd probably go for a cheap used Jeep or Nissan Xterra.

Not only that, but the first thing you notice when you see a stock base model is THEY WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO MAKE THE BASE LOOK PATHETIC. this seems to have been designed differently, as if they made the best version and then stripped parts instead of building a base model and upgrading it

Neither are toyota dealerships. I'm not advocating buying a Chevrolet but i did appreciate how open they were about problems some Silverados were having. Toyota and honda had policies to not discuss anything with the customer. I will never buy either one of them ever again. Only considering a mazda 3 or a nissan versa. Heard from too many subaru owners about problems...

They aren't selling because the economy (true numbers, not what the government tells people) is in the toilet, interest rates are higher, and people are tired of all of the modern junk from every carmaker. The newer vehicles, for the most part, are disposable, from every auto maker these days. Smarter people are holding on to what they have a little longer, or buying older vehicles.

Absolutely, prices for new vehicles are absolutely insane and I don't know how anybody who isn't filthy rich can afford one. Here in Canada too, our government is run by absolute morons who are causing massive inflation in every sector. My Outback is nearing 300K km so I'm currently looking at getting a new vehicle, to supplement it, and I'm probably going to just get a late-production Xterra. If I really want to stretch it, maybe a used Frontier Pro-4X. Spending anything beyond that makes absolutely no sense to me, especially for something with a tiny turbo'd 4 that is unlikely to last nearly as long and is choked by EPA garbage.

Auto makers got greedy and are beginning to reap what they sowed. I'm friends with an owner of a couple of Ford Dealerships they make their money on fleet contracts and wholesale cars people aren't buying the 60-80k trucks but when a 2012 F-150 comes on the lot for 12k its gone instantly. Dealer charged 5k over list and when picked up tried to force us to take their silly financing or wouldn’t sell us the car. Looked at Bronco and Maverick but don’t trust local dealer and said adjustment price but wouldn’t say how much until I agreed to buy. I walked into a Subaru dealer and test drove Forester Wilderness. Very capable and all the options for 35k. No hidden fees of forced financing. A solid product at a perceived reasonable price with a good feeling. Can do reasonable off roading which I wanted. We picked it up in its own pick up showrooms with bright lights so we can see everything. After hour explaining you don’t drive it out they do that and present to you in front of dealership. Our Mach E was dirty when we picked it up. A great car but lousy experience. Would have bought a bronco or Maverick but mark up and quality issues to much.

Depends on the market. During COVID they were ordering everything. Now it appears inventory has backed up to overflowing proportions. Due to OEM's all but demanding dealership's accept deliveries/allotments. Certain brands have certain models that sell as fast as they are in transit. Other OEM's are not so fortunate. Particularly those that focus only on expensive hight profit vehicles. They are the ones feeling the pinch.

dont forget they also get complete terrible fuel economy. like im pretty sure a small v8 would have gotten better fuel milage but they insist on turbocharging everything. that also means all the fords have more engine parts and are harder to repair and require repair more frequently.

long term reliability on these is dicey. Eco boost motors are iffy, and I hear there are issues with the transfer case. However, I think by far the biggest headwind for this truck is that nobody can afford it at the prices the dealer wants for them. People are already overspent. Who can afford a $100K offroading rig when a used Jeep will do?

Bronco's share the same market as Jeep Wranglers. People who wanted them, probably already has them. It's a pretty niche market. You could daily drive these, but there are lot more vehicles at that price range that they are selling that are more comfortable and upscale.

@@steve8803 Well, for me the Jeep Gladiator (Rubicon) was the ONLY (I was restricted to the MID-size segment) vehicle that would meet my needs. Glad I got m,ne when I did...but if I wanted to get a new vehicle TODAY (again, mid-size segment only) I'd get another Gladiator (Rubicon). And it's still factory/OEM stock...but DID get a Mopar Extended Warranty on it just before my 3-year/36K miles factory warranty expired -- just in case. I'm good until mid-2029. Will see what new vehicles are out then (if I don't keep keep my Gladiator indefinitely? Or, I may move (retire) to The Villages (Florida), sell the Jeep and only own a golf-car (20-mph max speed!)...but then those are "niche vehicles" as well, aren't they. Hmmm...I think I'm seeing a pattern here with my vehicle choices of late. ;-) "Jeep Wave" -- BR

Canadian here. Those prices are ridiculous. I ordered a very specific, affordable, two door, manual, hardtop 2023 Bronco Big Bend. Dealer markups not allowed in Canada. I paid the equivalent of $36,500.00 US (everything in), and got a decent trade-in for my old Edge. Extremely happy with my purchase. No recalls and some aftermarket additions have kept it looking good. I still get compliments on it.

We were considering a Maverick about three months ago. Everywhere within four hours of us had a minimum of 3k "market adjustment" on top of sticker. Sorry but I refuse to pay a fee just for the privilege of owning the vehicle. We went to two separate dealers. Both only had four units to choose from and the salesperson at both pushed us towards a full size truck. Long story short, we went to a Honda dealership instead and bought a lease return Ridgeline with about 22k on the clock. The dealer network is murdering Ford.
