Thanks for the video. Is there anything else you would suggest we do in preparation for the paper tomorrow as there isn't really any questions to practice on the clothing retail market? Other than practicing the structure of the 8 marker, making sure I am confident on all the content and watching this video is that enough?

I would say yeah that's enough. Doing any structured 8 markers would help practice the timing, given the difficulty of replacing the 4s with 8 markers. Or looking at the calculations essay questions from previous years, to practice that skill.

It can't hurt to have a good understanding of the market and what the trends and issues are within it but plenty of data will be available within the case studies to make use of.

Hi, thanks so much for this video it's super helpful! I'm a little bit confused because in the statement of financial position doesn't the brackets mean a negative number yet when you add them together you end up with a positive number? But when I was working it out I took those numbers in brackets as negative figures? For example (60)+(15)= -75 but the current liabilities answer is +75 :)

The calculation of current laibilities is the value of the liabilities overall. The brackets show which are debts. Don't use the negatives when adding them together in the calculation.

Generally I would look at all themes key terms and topics you're uncertain of as anything could come up. But the bullet points are the best starting point

I'm afraid you're incorrect. 58-28=30. For the latest finish time you need to use the smaller answer. It had to finish by 30 weeks as it's on the critical path, if it finished by 50 weeks the entire project would be 20 weeks late

im confused at 34:46 - for current ratio working out the current liabilities part - why do they have brackets meaning negative if the calculated outcome is positive??? idk if this makes sense plz reply

The liabilities are shown with brackets to indicate on a financial statement that they're an outflow/outgoing sum. In the calculation you use the value of the liabilities so the number is positive. You have a debt of £5000 not -£5000. You can't owe someone negative money!

is this also relevant to international edexcel unit 3 exam??? meaning are the topics the same relating to clothing?

The IAL exams are one Theme only. So the Unit 3 exam is Theme 3 only and Unit 4 is Theme 4 only. The theme playlists would be better for you but they won't give you advice on structure, just content. The structure of those exam questions is slightly different.

No, that's not the case. But I guess the feeling is you already have revised those for Papers 1 and 2 so the bullet points allow you to focus a bit further on those areas

Definitely not the case. It's actually much better to make great use of the data made available in the case study.

Have some basic knowledge of the industry, i.e. know a couple key competitors, and anything that he said in the video and just make reference to it in your essays, i.e. This will increase the risk for 'x' as they will have to compete with larger comp. in the market such as Nike, Adidas...
