We are for sure tanking again this season, but a great core is building. Give it 2-3 years and we are a competitive team.

@@Lachielp247 This is where I'm at with it. I see us capitalizing on the 2027 draft and being really good in the late 20's into the 30's. I think Hornets fans can expect to see growth year by year, but no playoffs this season, unfortunately. In some ways, it is actually better for us to bottom out -- its a huge draft coming up next year and we need to be in the lottery to have a pick. Unless the plan is to try and package all these picks and a few players to pick up... I don't know who? Can they pull off a miracle and get a franchise changing talent? Pretty unlikely the way things currently are, but trades can be nuts sometimes. More likely, I think management will play a waiting game to see how good Brandon and Lamelo really are together and, in the meantime, the Hornets will look to resign Miles and basically punt any truly big decisions to down the line. But my worry as a fan, is that... if someone has a bad contract with picks attached, the Hornets jump out of their skin.

I’m optimistic that Coach Lee will begin implementing an actual culture. We have one of if not the worst culture in the whole league. They have to try and build wining habits first. In two or three years I fully expect The Hornets to be legitimately competitive in the postseason.

Probably releasing Reggie Jackson when that is possible but I think we could be taking on a bunch of bad contracts like a Ben Simmons if it means we get picks attached to that

KJ is going to play in the league for a long time. Great player, great pick.

It's going to be a tank season. They are trying to position themselves in a asset gathering mode for future deals. The 24/25 season is just a speed bump in management's path. I don't really care what the Hornets have to say. Lets just see how the season plays out.

Next season is lamelo’s year 5 and he avg 32-7-9 full month before he got injured. Im not saying they will win the chip next yr but next season is definitely a playoff year if he plays 70 games

Keeping Bridges seems more like something Melo wants. Bridges is a defensive liability he showed after rozier left he wants to takeover but he doesn’t play winning basketball. Just stat padding while celebrating L’s.. They gotta move on from him.
