Overall it is a nice offering. People aught to remember, BMW is a premium brand and this is but just at bare minimum. The entry level. Thus, quite base. 😎

Premium brands should maintain the name premium. What on earth is a base trim on premium brand? This looks cheap and nasty. Despicably sad.

But it shares some parts with their premium offeringa and one may argue that it's a premium of the cars within it's segment but then comes the question of where do you put the likes of Sportage? Which are equally matched but lower in price

Premium is earned, not granted by virtue of your badge, manual seats can never be premium, more especially at that price

I'm a beamer fan at heart and what you're saying is just pure ignorance. This is one of the worst looking cars BMW has ever made. There's nothing premium about manual seat adjustment at 800k.

I am not so sure about that rear, I tried to look at it in different colours and trim lines but not working, maybe in metal it may convince me. But I would go for the X1 over this anytime. The target market will probably just be happy with the BM badge on the bonnet and boot, irrespective of manual seats in 2024 on a +800k vehicle 🤦🏿

As for manual seats, yoh😭. I would also take the X1 for the same reason I would take X3 over X4 actually. I am not in for the coupe styles

Looks like if the old X2 and the new Mazda 5 and CX=30 had a thre3some 😬👀

@@sebuwam It's an SUV with a 3 cylinder engine. You need at least the 2.0 litre 218bhp X Drive in it but that only comes in the X1 and Countryman.

Hi @Sebuwa. Please talk to us. Reading makes me look at the words instead of all the goodness you're showcasing. But look at this. This is why I could never go for established German brands now. So stingy with equipment. What is such a premium looking car doing with manual seats? Some of the fittings and trimmings do not blend in with the aesthetic of the brand. And then they want 54k for that??? Ayi man! China here I come. Was looking at BYD and they have the Seal which is like C class level just better and More equipment, more luxury for half the price. BMW for the last two decades has been overrated. And so have the other Germans. Thanks for the showcase.

Hi, thanks a lot for the feedback, you have been in the fam for so long🫶🏾 but I probably never explained. I don't prefer talking at the dealerships unless if I am doing a test drive, if you check on this videos it's like an update on "what's new" I hardly give an opinion, just here and there on words as I see it as a necessary step to showcase a new car without giving opinions. Sometimes I get to drive the car later and I provide a detailed or driveability review which will link everything together. Another thing, I keep this kind of content as I believe someday I can help small artists to bring their music to the people (been struggling to manage the copyright threats even if some artists give me permission, the space is delicate, so I have been holding back). I am, however, not a tree and I can move if this kind of content does not serve you guys properly🙏🏽.

Now, to the BMW🙂 - I can lie, I understand where you coming from, my worry is in their offerings overall when it comes to engines and specs, based on what China keeps bringing into the market, it makes it difficult to stick to them despite their reputation as the economy is saying otherwise. You can feel the quality is a touch superior in BMW (honestly much better than all other Germans currently) but there is a ceiling for customer satisfaction and unfortunately China managed to reach that ceiling with other cars that are way more powerful, bigger and less priced, so it is not going to be easy for any German brands in the near future.

Thumbs up for the interior, but as for the exterior, I'll have to see it in the metal first. Cars are so expensive nowadays without a doubt, so complaining about the price won't change anything. Anyway thanks a lot for the video sir...looking forward for a test drive🙏🙏🙏

@@sebuwam okay, now I understand why you put in words instead of speaking. Thanks for letting us know. About BMW, you are bang on the buck correct. Trust your judgement. I feel China will swallow German brands in the next decade as they offer cheaper luxury alternatives and the bad economy has buyers look east and realise they were being cheated all along by buying expensive German brands.

Exterior wise it's not a good looker worse the rear is a mess...

It's an absolute mess in the back. No chrome trimming or highlighting of some sort around the kidney grille. Cabin looks cheap in places for such a brand. It's terrible.

It's not that bad ey, you know with BMW, we take time time to understand what they are trying to tell us. Yes, I believe they should have shrunk the X4 rear and put it here but we will see if we warm up with time

@@sebuwam making cars since 1916, they shouldn't be trying to tell us, anything. Design should be a well oiled machine by now. Through the Chris Bangle era in the mid 2000s and they are still at it with their strange and ungainly designs, there really is no excuse for this. Experience should naturally make them better.

@@sithabelamandlawenkosiwodu6298 I hear you, I was mainly looking at the whole car, yes it has some bad angles but it's not entirely out. Like the 5-Series, same thing. Don't forget that currently the line-up has some pretty cool looking cars, The 3, X3, X5 and X6 are actually good-looking. There will always be outliers
