I took a pretty big hit with this build.

Nice bike. I have an allocation for 2024 but I didn't come with carbon wheels so I passed it up and waited for the next batch. The fact they would even sell that bike with no carbon wheel is crazy. I understand some don't want the carbon wheels because they ride in the city with potholes.

I wonder if there is a recall coming for the carbon fiber wheels? It seems BMW is still charging 2024 for the package, but no rebate for not having the carbon wheels??

Yeah, I've heard too many negatives about the BMW carbon wheels, so I actually wanted the forged. There's not much weight difference too, so that's a plus.

My local BMW dealer had one on the floor without them, and they told me that BMW USA has none in stock because of the racing team! They can't even get any on order right now.

There are none. I did hear that there were some rear wheels out there but no fronts. Even allocations slated for later in the year currently do not show the carbon wheels. BMW is not making any concessions either(ie lowering the price)

Crazy, I didnt hear about any stock shortings here in germany and I didnt know you could get the bike without them 😅 turns out you can substitute them in the configurator but have to pay the same amount as with carbon wheels 😂 that sucks

@@Naldo_S1K I've put an allocation in for a 2024 M1000rr and they told me the same thing. That is some bull because if you look right now as of Feb 2024 there are plenty of 2024 M1000r that comes with carbon wheels. Plus how is BMW advertising the M1000XR with carbon wheels... make it make sense.
