Having the whole squad working toward academic goals makes it so much easier. The competition and support makes what would otherwise be drudgery fun and memorable. I scored higher than I reasonably thought I could on the ACT because my friends were all competing. Cheers to you all!

They’re AP exams, high school kids often take them to try and get college credit (they’re supposed to be the rigor/pace of an intro level college course). A 1 or a 2 doesn’t give you credit, some universities accept 3s for credit, and most universities accept a 4 or 5. And I agree, they are weirdly fun to watch, I love how they celebrate when they get higher scores

@@irene3694college board does a pretty massive training process to get everyone on the same level of scoring. Then they do a week of like 8 hour test scorings each day. Its not entirely impossible to say some scorers may have ran out of steam, but they’re usually trained for it. That reminds me this year there was a hybrid of in person and virtual test scoring. So there’s that. (This all came from my calc bc teacher who has been an ap test scorer for a long time)

For essays and free responses, they’re usually graded by a person, and people make mistakes.

Your AP score generally determines how much college credit you'll receive 1 - no recommendation 2 - possibly qualified 3 - qualified 4 - well qualified 5 - extremely well qualified you get a 0 if you are caught cheating a score of at least 3 is passing
