Sound on! I have taken a new spy video of a secret test from Alpine and Esteban Ocon with the new limited Alpine A110 RS or Trophy-R prototype at the Nürburgring. The name of the lightweight model is still secret and hasn't been launched yet. The french manufacturer continues testing with the sportscar at the Nürburgring and brought F1 driver Esteban Ocon for a couple of days to the Nordschleife. With Esteban was also Renault/Alpine's chief test driver Laurent Hugron. Laurent is an expert of the Nürburgring and has a lot of experience with all kind of RS models from Renault.
Both of them developed the setup for this lightweight model of the Alpine A110 on Michelin tires.
Before the end of this test I was able to see a hand stopped 7:18 minutes with this Alpine A110 prototype, driven by Esteban Ocon. The current laptime with a Alpine A110 S is 7:56 minutes and has been driven by Christian Gebhardt from Sport Auto back in 2020.

Details about this project have now been revealed. It's basically are street version of the GT4 race car. Highlights are: - Based on the GT4 version - 350hp - Different engine, gearbox, turbos, suspension - AP Racing brakes - Forged rims with MC2

The guy with grey hair is Laurent Hurgon. He is gonna set the laptime cause he is the testdriver for renaultsport/ alpine , so not ocon

Exiting the karrussel like a bullet.
One of the key question behind this lap time is "which tyres?" on the car as a soft version of the semi-slicks would bring about 15 sec. benefit. The A110S tested min 7:56 by the German magazine SportAuto was on Cup2 (non R).

@@BixenteDelBosque May I ask you how you know this for sure? If the car runs on Cup 2 (non R) the laptime of 7:18 would be absolutely extraordinary as this would be around 7:03-7:05 on Cup2R, i.e. faster than the Porsche GT4 RS which achieved 7:09.

@@GohardGTRSCarsyou can not set a general rule saying cup2->cup2R gains 15 sec... behind the same tire range can be several differents tire settings. I'm working on the project, so I can't give more details sorry.
7.18 avec les touristes sur le circuit. En mode chrono homologué je pense qu'elle peut descendre facile dans les 7.10 voir 7.05 mini.

il n'y avait pas de touristes sur le circuit, c'est un industry pool, et cette session était réservée pour chrono, donc personne d'autre pour gêner.

Ça s’ appelle un montage. Tu vois bien avec le soleil que tous les plans ne sont pas filmés au même moment. Quand il y a d’ autres voitures c’est en journée et ce sont des pro (industry pool) pas des touristes, et le soir c’est pendant la session « exclu » il n’y a personne qui gêne.

1.8L turbo. It's been limited to 300ps in the past. Don't know what spec this might be, but Alpine have said the gearbox can't take more than this. I think the Pikes Peak car (500bhp) was a one-off.
No fancy carbon rims?

Hand stopped, no onboard....you must be kidding. Nice to see the car go somewhere sideways....I drive a Porsche 928 S4 in 7.22, hand stopped between Hatzenbach and Breitscheid....

7:22 in a 928 is impossible
While it's awesome to see the car being pushed to the limit, it also demonstrates how poorly managed the team must be to have your F1 driver test a prototype car on a most dangerous track where experienced testing drivers have perished (e.g. due to tyre failure). Red Bull would never allow Verstappen to drive such fast prototype at Nords.

Vainqueur du grand prix de Hongrie 2021, plusieurs podiums dont 1 a MONACO cette année mais oui t'a raison c'est le pire pilote de F1🙄🙄🙄. Regarde la F1 avant de parler gr0s c0n.

Essaye de faire une aussi belle carrière que lui gagnant tout en catégorie junior et avec 2 podiums en F1 et reviens après ! Ta même pas idée de la pression qu’il avait de devoir réussir en F1 quand t’es parents vendent tout ce qu’ils ont pour leurs fils avec aucune marge d’erreur à part la 1ère place
