This is still one of the most beautiful cars on the road today. I think Alfa should let this car have Satllantis's 3.0 hurricane motor which is around 400HP and that would be the sweet spot for this car.

One thing you didn’t mention that I love is the adaptive cruise down to a stop. It works extremely well. And is a life saver if you drive in stop and go traffic. Also, I personally like how the screen is integrated into the dash versus it being tacked on top of the dash like the bmw.

As an older person with an older Giulia (2018), I enjoy my car for its looks and performance/handling. I don't like the modern day electronics, which turn cars into giant tablets. Talk about driving distractions. 😕

Have the Guilia 2021 sprint with red interior and it’s definitely a head turner and gets questions everywhere I go. Mines is a RWD and would like a 4WD but has done well in Midwest for me. The handling and driving is where this car shines for sure and you get a lot even at their base base model like I have.

Is that the onboard nav screen that is displayed during your drive, or some type of map app?

Only US-spec remotes have a panic button. I wonder why? 😮

I’m just thinking, this is what Chrysler could’ve been. I don’t know why on earth FCA went with rebadging Lancia cars when Chrysler would’ve been better off if they shared power trains with Alpha Romeo and built something themselves. Very nice car.👍

Leather in Lusso trim and upper versions are real and soft italian. About Turbo lag Giulia has less lag than german , for sure!

Think it deserved another smile in the smile meter.

Reminds me of when I used to like bmws. If there reliability continues to improve as it has the last 5 years I think they will expand with time in the market more

They won't. They don't have the dealer setup to do that, and their overall quality just sucks. When owning a BMW is far easier, you have a problem. Alfa,has been a long suffering brand for a reason. They aren't serious about changing that.

This proves that their reputation for being unreliable is a difficult thing to overcome in buyers minds.

Wish they could bring the standard Guilia's under a 5 sec 0-60. They seem to be stuck 0n the 5.1-5.5 range every year. Then I would be sold.

I think you will begin to see more and more auto manufacturers retreating from going exclusively electric. Toyota has announced it will not be introducing any new electric models, and that it plans to reduce production of existing all Electric powered vehicles. Also, GM and Ford are both stopping or phasing out their EVs. Number 1, they are too expensive and don't sell. Tesla might sell $70K and $80K cars, but that is to a small, wealthier group of people. Number 2, people are figuring out that EVs pollute more than petroleum cars if take source of power into account (ie, coal powered power plants). Third, the mining of rare earth metals for the batteries, like lithium and cobalt, scorch the earth with huge strip mining operations that are miles in circumference which cannot be repaired after they are abandoned. Don't forget about the child slave labor in Africa,controlled by Communist China, which is immoral beyond belief. The batteries using cobalt, lithium and beryllium are harder to dispose of than spent uranium nuclear rods. Finally, just try to get a first responder to use the jaws of life on an EV. They won't do it, and I don't blame them; they don't want to be electrocuted.

I don't blame cops for hesitating in suicide situations. Would you want your selfless first responder child risking his life in a suicidal high percentage electrocution situation. Making a horrible situation worse by forcing death on a first responder (who may have children, also) along with the victims helps no one. It's a Hobson's choice. Everyone loses. Until technology invents a safer jaws of life, as a crew chief, I could not and would not order a good Samaritan to risk suicide on an EV.

That infotainment is really a disgrace, they are miles behind with that. The driving part is top tier if u like sporty drive.

Infotainment importance is absolutely overrated. Cellphone integration is OK, Audio is very good, UI and system is slow but usable. At least no over screen and tablety experience.

@@ghostridertom ye but its not hard for at least give it a touchscreen function. And also mine got thé small screen from thé beginning. I Seen 17 years old opels with a better screen. Don't forget alfa romeo is a premium brand, at least they can give a good basic. Does not need to be top, but just a good middle is perfect

The problem with this model is that if you took off the badging, it doesn't look any more distinctive than say... a Camry, except the grill I suppose. An Alpha Romeo should be a head-turner, people who drive these things WANT to be noticed. Interior's... okay... but not competitive... especially the infotainment, that's like something in the Tundra.

am i the only one who finds the interior to be quite ugly?

Great looking, driving and sounding and that is where the fun stops. Shit reliability and an absolutely terrible dealer network.
