青森県西部、津軽平野の南西部にある岩木山。
その岩木山にある岩木山神社は、津軽一円の信仰を集めており、津軽の人々は古くから岩木山を信仰し、日常生活のよりどころとしています。
岩木山山頂にある岩木山神社の奥宮に旧暦8月1日に登拝する行事、重要無形民俗文化財 お山参詣の際に演奏する、登山囃子と下山囃子。
動画は2024年（令和6年）4月29日に行われた、その囃子の競演会の様子を撮ったものです。

Mt. Iwaki is located in the southwest part of the Tsugaru Plain in western Aomori Prefecture.
Iwakiyama Shrine, located on Mt. Iwaki, is worshiped throughout Tsugaru, and the people of Tsugaru have worshiped Mt. Iwaki since ancient times, making it a cornerstone of their daily life.
Climbing music and descending music are played during the pilgrimage to the mountain, an event where people climb to the inner shrine of Iwakiyama Shrine on the summit of Mt. Iwaki on August 1st of the lunar calendar.Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property
