Second of my Croatia holiday dives, again with Bikini Dive in Brela.
This time Ivić and I were joined by Ivan, who was taking two regular German customers and another diver (also from Germany) out to the aeroplane wreck.
This wreck is a small two-seater plane, which Ivan placed on the sea bed to create an artificial reef. There is already a fair amount of life taking up residence on it. Ivan removed the top-mounted engine and all other sources of potentially hazardous environmental contaminants from the plane before sinking it.
Again, a very pleasant 47 minute dive (although I discovered I had a leaky mouthpiece due to s small tear in the rubber, but these things happen and it wasn't too much of an inconvenience).
