Hi there, thank you for your question! One way is to check the Roaming folder on your computer for unsaved Notepad files. Open the Start menu Type %AppData% and press Enter this will direct you to the Roaming folder then use the search box to locate all *.txt files and select the text file you want to recover and copy it to a different location.

Bro all these videos start with “if you accidentally..” NO!!! It’s word being fucking useless and crashing or just not saving because it’s exremely difficult to make a program to edit literal text files in just 40 years that works

Hi there, thank you for your question! If you have checked for any backups then I would recommend trying data recovery software such as Recoverit just know data recovery is never guaranteed but if the data is important to you its worth a chance.
