Yoooo I had the same thought. I watched through so many girl groups who performed at MAMA and was underwhelmed by every single choreo, and even then, they had the audacity to lip-sync. But then we get to ateez, and the girls were going as hard as the guys with the same choreo and it was like a breath of fresh air.

I think it's better to save our energy until the cb is officially out, we are aiming to break records on the MV/spotify and honestly, that will help ateez a lot more! We need to $tr€@m a lot and for a long time so it's better not to burn ourselves out on this, once the cb is officially out we need to be consistent (and not get tired after 2 weeks). Btw we can always use this as a filler for when the MV is actually out. (also everyone is obviously allowed to do whatever they want but this is just my suggestion as a streamtiny)

They have several great MAMA performances beginning in 2019. Unfortunately, the vid with the good camera work is no longer up, but you can still watch it in ATEEZ's MAMA 2019 All Moments video. 2020 was a promotional performance for Kingdom Legendary War. They performed 2 songs in 2021, but the search tends to pull to the top one or the other instead of the video with both.

ateez is the only group whos brave enough to try different kinds of concept. I love them so much

Once an idea has taken hold of the brain it's almost impossible to eradicate. An idea that is fully formed - fully understood - that sticks; right in there somewhere’. Is said by Cobb, the main character in inception. The safe also reminds me of the safe that Fischer opened near the end of the movie after the idea that Cobbs team planted in his brain took over. Here san performs an inception by travelling into the businessman’s dream and planting a chilli pepper in the safe. Maybe it awakens them and gives them emotion idk. The suitcase is called the PASIV and is used in the movie to induce lucid dreaming and allow multiple people to access the same dream. A fluid is injected into a person and normally someone watches over them. In this case hongjoong watches over san. Hongjoong also places headphones on San and plays music to alert him when the ‘kick’ is about to happen. The kick is smth that pulls the dreamer out of the dream. That’s why there was carousel music in the dream. So instead of performing inception by planting ideas in dreams, Ateez is planting chilli peppers. This fits in their lore bc they’re known for travelling between dreams and stuff. The van that they drove is also similar to the one yusuf drives in the level 1 dream in the movie. Highly recommend you watch it btw sorry this got long!

I’m not too familiar with ATEEZ but their MAMA stage was awesome. Their songs are such bops and I will definitely check them out more!

Ateez remind me of the groups that we used to have in like 2011-2016 you know? Like the first and second generation when there was no TikTok, no Instagram, no trending stuff when they actually had to work and show up and show off in order to maintain themselves they couldn’t rely on social media they couldn’t rely on being viral on being popular in the western society, they like had to show up at like M countdown, show up to SBS show up to dance relay show up to all the talkshows all the games every day and like do their stuff! I don’t know how to explain it but I feel like the old K-pop stans probably understand me better when I say that Ateez remind me of the old days. The days when like Seventeen was like the newest group there is that showed everyone what a rookie is.

Totally agree with you. For me ATEEZ reminds me of Block B and B.A.P in a good way. They have those vibes that 2nd generation had in good old times.

Not to mention kpop stans were calling ateez ‘nugu’ when they were performing on mama, which is completely untrue, cause they’re one of the best 4th generation groups. In the top 10 or 7 even.

The Best Global Performers indeed. I have never seen a kpop group whos each member is equally standing out. You can put anyone in the center on the side or in the back and they'll still shine.. Ateez is that Group.. Crazy stage presence it is.

This whole performance had me turnt, shook, and turnt af again CAUSE WHATTT THEY DEVOURED

They used the stage so well and so much. Moving around, changing formation, changing concepts in the middle of the performance. They are insanely creative It's a performance only practiced and coordinated for this award show only, a different dance and choreography to really make them shine

EXCUSE ME, WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT THE ACTOR?! THEY RECRUITED AN ACTOR! IT'S RYU SEUNG RYONG! THE ONE IN MOVING AND MIRACLE IN CELL NO.7!!!
