My (failed) second attempt at a 100 km Ultra Run in the epic Pyrenees Mountains in Spain. I ran the 2023 UTMB Val d'Aran CDH (110km, 6400m elevation gain) until it was cancelled 19.5 hours in at km 96 because of bad weather that completely washed out the trails.
What a monumental race this was though! Thanks to all the organizers and volunteers for putting this event together, and for putting the runners' safety first when making this difficult decision.
