Hi, thank you so much cause you helped me buying the right iPad. Two months ago I bought the 11" ipad pro, refurbished from apple and with the m1 chip, and I have to say I'm definitely satisfied. It works pretty well, battery life is really good, even if with some apps it goes down really fast (solar smash/freeform). Overall, for my workflow is perfect and I can easilv do everything I need to. Thanks again😊

I've had the Mini 6 since it released I love that thing, it fits perfectly in my Apple ecosystem. Having said that I've always been attracted to the Air 5, I view it as the entry level iPad with an M series chips. I just can't justify buying it. Darn it. 🙂

I really appreciate your IPad reviews. I’m still on an iPad Air 1 and would love to update so have been watching your reviews of the latest air, latest base model, and latest mini. Super helpful the way you do your one on ones.

I just got the iPad 10th gen with cellular, it was on sale for 1/2 off and a free year of 5G cellular service, so I decided to upgrade from my 1st gen iPad Pro, I’m absolutely love the 10th gen, the cameras are so much better than my old iPad Pro, it’s super fast compared to what I’m used too, and the screen is super bright for me, I also love the metallic blue color as well, it just pops, I just do mainly watching videos and playing games, and look on the internet and some photography and fly my drone with it and it has done everything with no problems at all

At this point, Apple should just simplify the lineup again, but this time, focus on the Mini, the Air, and the Pro. Thats it. Any features the iPad 10 got (like the Camera shift), move it over to the Mini and Air. Give the Mini an M1 chip while retaining a 60hz refresh rate, while the Air gets M2 and a possible 90hz, and the Pros become the first to have M3 with the ProMotion 120hz. Also, I got the Air 5 in 256GB plus 5G back in March this year. Easily the best one of the current lineup!!!

To me the iPad 9th gen, mini and Pro are the only options worth considering for normal users. The 10th gen is almost double the price of the 9th gen and doesn’t offer much in terms of functionality, the screen is still 60hz, non-laminated, and only supports the 1st gen pencil. The air not having a 90 or 120hz display is also a huge turn off at $500+, might as well get the pro which also has more base storage. I hope they revamp the whole line up in 2024.

I totally agree. First off, the 10th gen is non laminated. Wtf? And 1st gen pencil support? Again, wtf???!!! And for the air, WE WANT 90-120HZ!! also storage options- um.

Crazy on black friday I got a m2 iPad Pro 256gb cellular, magic keyboard, and apple pencil for just 200$ more than buying the same config m1 iPad Pro by itself. I waited a whole year for it to go on sale, so it blew my mind to see the new one cheaper than the old one.

In Spain iPad 10 cost 621$ while iPad Pro 12.9’ cost 1555$, Mini 700$ and Air 825$. Apple got crazy with prices in Spain this yeat

I think the price of the iPad 10 is rational.😅 In fact, when iPad 10 was on sale, other iPad series’ prices were going up. But in consideration of the possibility for primary and secondary schools to wholesale the iPad for students to attend online classes (such as Google Classroom) , it is convenient choice for students. 😊 So iPad 10’s price in China is CNY 3,599; You can just cost CNY 3,899 to buy iPad Air 5 (NOT Chinese Edition)in JD or cost CNY 4,599 to buy iPad Pro 2021.

I have the iPad 8 for school, and it is kicking ass. Besides learning how to properly store files I have had no issues

I have the 10 because I use it for flying and the battery life has ranked the highest. If i was looking for a more laptop replacement I'd get the air, its the best bang for buck imo unless you're a pro user. The mini is actually the least practical imo but the most enjoyable to use if that makes sense. I've always had minis and love using them but at almost no point is it actually more practical overall then a bigger ipad. It's still just an enjoyable experience though

I still have the first gen iPad Pro 12.9 inch from 2015, youtube is the only app that still runs on it because there is only 32 GB storage and iOS alone uses 14 GB. Definitely time for an upgrade but just need to know whats worth it in terms of customisation and if I should do Air or Pro.

It's a great coverage of the current iPads, so the video is a very useful.

Thanks for the informative comparisons. I'm looking to purchase an iPad Pro for viewing photos while I shoot (I'm a photog), and for my clients to view also during a shoot. I use my MacBook while in the studio, but was considering an iPad for on location as I expect it would be easier to hold and lighter. A feature that is very important for me, as I'll be on location, is brightness. Between the Pro 11" and the 12.9", is 12.9 much brighter than the 11". Thanks in advance.

What are your thoughts on some of the older iPad Pro versions? (If they can be found?)

Got the iPad 10 a little while back, honestly, its worth it. Only drawback I've faced is the use of an adapter for pairing since it uses the lightning apple pencil, and its a constant fear of not losing it since its quite small. But overall its solid for what its showcased for since I primarily use it for notetaking and casual use.

@@ClumsyHumane I would actually recommend the air 5 (if you wouldn't mind paying the extra) because it has the Apple pencil gen 2 as well as the m1 chip. But for casual gaming and drawing the gen 10 is more than capable, it's just that the air 5 has a bit more spec wise. Both are ideally the same with minor differences, if you have the money you should go for the air 5, if not the gen 10 should suffice.

Hey excellent videos about iPads, please keep up the good work 🙏🏼👍🏼 Used iPad Pro 2017 model for both my kids until it was dropped multiple times, even slightly bent and finally both cameras stopped working but still the iPad works so smooth. Upgraded to iPad Air with M1 processor 256gb for my younger kid and also iPad Pro 11” 512gb with M2 processor for another school going kid which are both super powerful and way more sufficient for both kids for probably next 5 years.. Anyway thanks again for all your iPads videos, really good content

You didn't have to get so much storage. I'm a teacher and have 256 GB and tbh 128 GB would've been enough, too. The ipads airs are more than enough for school kids. Overkill even. Don't overspend so much...

I have iPad mini 2022, iPad Pro 11 2018 & iPad Pro 12.9 2022 and the least I use is 12.9 coz of the HUGENESS of it! I just want to try it that’s why I bought it. And the itch of just buying 😂. Though my workaround now is to use a pocket & portable laptop stand while on the go and tall stand on the office coz my main use is just a portable 2nd monitor for 12.9. The best one for me is iPad 11 pro! Even my 2018 still rocks!

You would need a female lightning cable - but yes. It’s someone did even with previous generations.

Hey Tech Gear! Been watching alot of your videos on the M2 IPad Pro and Mac Minis! You’re reviews on them have made me decide on a IPad Pro + Mac Mini combo but I wanted to ask your thoughts on what should I invest more money on? I want the IPad Pro to be able to do some gaming, media consumption, and 1080p video editing for YT. The Mac Mini would be used for any serious video editing that is limited on the IPad. Would you suggest getting the 1 TB model of the IPad Pro since it has 16GB of ram or would you invest that $400 on getting the base model of the M2 Pro Mac Mini? Regardless I am getting both. Its just a matter of what would be the specs! Both are around $2500 combined

I have the Ipad Pro 11" 2020 and I use it everyday! The only thing I don't like about it is the slow charging time. I use it every day as a teacher - so I'm a "medium" user I'd say. The batterylife is still at 96%!!! I will keep it until it is dead. 100% worth it's money!

I have an iPad Pro 12.9” 1st generation and it doesn’t tell me what my battery life is like but I’ve had it for around 7 years and it’s still holding strong. I use it all day and it can still keep a charge for over 6 hours of streaming. iPad pros are simply built different.

I’m confused as hell with all these! I’ve been using a 13 year old iMac and it seems to be on its last leg. I never get on it other than to pay bills every 2 weeks. I usually scroll and search on my iPhone. I was considering another iMac or MacBook but then was thinking why not a iPad. Verizon is giving away a free iPhone 15pro, a free iPad 9th gen 64gb, and a free Apple Watch SE. only thing that I’m debating is do I really need the monthly service on each device, or just go buy a cheap iPad and use Wi-Fi only. The 9th gen seems to be the one to get for my needs. Mostly just to pay bills and surf a bit. Also I’m debating on the 256 just to be safe

@@timotilego6400 in college we mainly use online portals for projects so the extra storage makes no difference. In addition I use Google docs/sheets which is online too. The 5g is great when campus WiFi is slow, many times in the semester people ask if my WiFi is working because they can’t connect and I get to explain I’m on cellular, subtle flex lol

I have a 10 year old Ipad and was thinking of replacing it. I see Apple is still doing the memory upgrade thing, $150? Why? Lets move on from this memory upgrade/upsale already. Add in some real value for my $150.

I got my iPad Air 5 through Amazon for 449 I was going to wait for the new one to release

anyone recommend the ipad for following use? main: im a nerd here so currently on my phone (iphone 8 plus, 64gb, bought it back in 2018) i have alot of pdfs, notes and documents for stuff like tabletop rpgs. other stuff like audiobooks, pictures are there too but mainly what i use my phone is rpg related stuff with groups i run for. pref mini due to weight but i can work with larger if i buy one of those tablet covers with built in keyboard. use social media apps, video, rpg aids and music. the only video game on there is a digital board game that i rarely play so video games for tablet is at lowest priority. edit: to add for pictures its primarily screen shots or specific saved images from pdfs, rarely use phone cam to take pictures. so with that what would be the ideal ipad? for celluar options is it recommended or nah? if recommend does it require a known phone plane or i can go cheap/simple for it like cricket for exm?

Just get an m2 pro…thats what i did. Yeah, they’re a bit expensive but they’re powerful as hell and much more “future proof”. The fact that Apple hasn’t yet taken advantage of its full capability tells you everything you need to know. I think thats a good strategy when it comes to technology, period. Look for the device that has more power than necessary. It will remain relevant for longer.

Most consumers don't have the extra to shell out for features they may never use. Sure it's more powerful but what good is all that fluff if say a student got it and only used it for note-taking or school work? Of course it varies person to person but I'm pretty sure Apple products have long time support even if they stop making a ipad model. My Air 4 still gets all the updates that comes out and I've had it for 2 years

Would it not fix the storage issue if you just upgrade your iCloud storage?
