@parnellimtb I raced in class 8 1993 we were traveling hell of a lot slower. What 28-34 inches of travel 950 hp big block chevys all wheel drive can do. Oh I forgot the 900k. Great times

@parnellimtb we were low budget . This was when had to have oem design suspension I think it was 15 " in front 18 rear kuster shocks leaf springs and coils front. Torco sponsor, Goodyear tires .black Ford 73 dent side.

even the helicopter for shooting the Dakar race will smoke on the sidelines

The proximity to spectators is concerning. Mostly for the drivers, people will get smashed if haven't already. It would be a lot to deal with even though no fault of said driver. The speed is incredible.

Yes,its Something that you cant control! And yes,there is a few accidents in the past,not drivers fault at all.like in WRC rally,if you are not in a safe place you have 2 options either you move or they cancel the stage.
