Great tip on opening the back body without pulling the whole tub

Glad it helped. I stay away from the dealer for repairs and do all the work myself. I would suggest everyone else does the same. These dealers will sell you a ski in 5 minutes after you walk in the door, but tell you it’ll be 5 weeks before they can get around to fixing it, and good luck if it’s even fixed when you get it back

Mine stopped in the middle of the lake yesterday, saw this video and found out I have the same exact problem. Thank you so much for posting this video I didn’t see anyone else addressing it, saved me a lot of time, nice looking ski by the way mines blue too

Thank you for the feedback. I’m glad to hear it helped you. This is a major problem on the 2023 spark trixx, I didn’t intend on buying the spark trixx, but I’m sooooo glad I did. So much fun and yes I love the blue color. Thanks again

Just scrolling videos as I just picked up a 2023 trixx exactly like this, old stock from our local dealer. No issues with that clamp as of yet (just hit 10 hrs this weekend) however, 2 hull bolts fell out on one side... so your thoughts about dealership techs is exactly on point! Looks like we have the same techron socket set also...weeeeeird. I'll be setting the torque as you did here when the bolts get delivered (I did call in a claim warranty, they are ordering the parts but I'm not letting them touch it).. thanks for the info!

I'm going today to check out a 2017 seadoo spark that's been sitting for two years crank no start. Comes with trailer half off

I’m looking into buying one of these so I’m researching them. Why would the broken hose clamp cause a no start?

These skis are very reliable and durable. They just had a manufacturing defect in the clamps. The water box has a sensor on the back of it that measure’s pressures when the clamp breaks it will blow the water box back separating the rubber hose from the box. The sensor doesn’t detect any pressure at that point and shuts the ski off as a safety measure, otherwise you’d have exhaust gases escaping into a sealed engine compartment that could result in a fire or explosion, so it worked as designed. I’ve own and ridden plenty of sparks and will keep on buying them

Had the no crank issue with mine over the past weekend as we were trying to get it in the water. So with the exhaust sensor supposed to be monitoring exhaust pressure and what not, were you seeing the pwc throw a "Limp Home Mode" code on the screen? It's currently at the dealer right now and at this point we've had the worst customer service dealing with their service department. If I can fix it myself I will if I don't have to deal with them.

Nothing came up on my dash as far as limp mode, it just died on the water and wouldn’t start. I do all the work on the skis that I can, all these dealers and service departments are worthless, they’ll sell you a ski five minutes after you walk in the door, but when it needs to be fixed they’ll tell you it’s gonna be five weeks before they can get to it and you’ll be lucky if it’s fixed right when you pick it up, try to learn how everything works and get a manual if you can so you can avoid the hassle if possible. These really aren’t complicated machines. Good luck with the repair

@@jasont7887took one of ours in back June of last year for a recall piece for the dumb audio stereo which is like a $10 fix. Service department pulls our double ski trailer into the shop and runs it into the side of the garage door damaging our trailer and one of the skis. They had to replace the entire hull of the ski which ended up costing them 5-6k in labor and parts and while it was being worked on stored it outside and let water get in the hull so much so that it took literally 30min for it to drain out of the plug. Then told us it was our fault bc we didn’t pull the plug. It’s literally insane and can’t trust them with my property. I’m hoping mine is as simple as your fix is but at this point there is no telling since they literally did a hull replacement.

Yeah, sorry to hear all that, after a hull replacement lots can go wrong with not doing it correctly, stuff can be left loose, engine alignment issues etc…..hopefully it’s not going to be a headache for you from here on out. I don’t trust any of those guys. My friend took his for warranty work and they had to take the top off, when we went to pick it up the gasket between the top and bottom hull was literally hanging out like seven inches and was pinched when they tightened everything down, like nobody in the entire process saw that. Crazy. I hope it works out for you, but in the future hopefully you can do more on your own. Look into seadoo spark face book page. Some of the guys are smartasses, but most of them have good info if you ask a question

What actually caused the no start? Did the hull fill up with water causing electrical issues? Thanks for the heads up on this issue, I’m in the market for a 2023 trixx at the moment.

There’s an exhaust sensor on top of the water box (exhaust) and when the clamp broke it pushed the water box back to where it wasn’t connected to the exhaust hose anymore and that would make the exhaust escape into the hull. So the sensors job on the water box is to monitor the exhaust pressure and if it doesn’t see any it shuts the ski off to prevent fumes from entering the hull which would be very dangerous so it’s actually a really nice safety feature
