Thank you for your unbiased review of the 2023 MetroExpress. I've been wondering whether that hum (on the pre-2023 models) was gone. I'm glad to see it is.

Hey Earl: Happy Thanksgiving to you. I just ordered a new Sadowsky Metro Express PJ 5 string in Sage Green finish and roasted neck from Sweetwater. It will arrive to my house next Wednesday or Thursday. This is made in China and I paid $1,150.00 out the door. This is my first Sadowsky ever owned. I mainly have Fenders, some Squiers, Ibanez, etc. I will let you know once I get it next week. That $3,000 Sadowsky you bought used is beautiful. I have been to the website and they have beautiful basses, but wow the prices are out of orbit for me lol. I can't swing $8,000, no sir. Take care!

'Appreciate you RoadKing! Yes those custom USA Sadowsky basses will give you a nosebleed! High in the air prices! I really don't think the china made Metro's will disappoint you. they're more than fine instruments. Happy Holidays!🎄

Thanks Max! I'm looking for a Jazz bass like this. With the 5 strings, Did you notice some issue/improvement in a 34" scale (instead 35) The Michael Kelly that you tested has that 35 scale. What about the definition of the sound of the 5th string? It is a lot of difference in quality compared with the Michael Kelly? I'm thinking in this 2 options. Per your suggestion! I checked out Ms Ochoa! She makes quite a statement, with her cool looks! And smooth playing style! You can't take your eyes off her! And yes! I don't hide my age. Grey hair is a "badge" of honor!

Hey brother, I don't wanna speak for Earl but he has done several video's trying out a few Lakeland's. I picked up a Darryl Jones Lakeland a few years ago based on one of his reviews. Hope this help's and I hope you find exactly what your looking for. Take care

Not Earl, but I can aswer: 1. The basses don't include a tone control out of the factory, it's only Volume/Balance/Bass/Treble 2. The frets have rolled edges
