I have a 2016 Blade 14 and I changed the battery many times (bought on ebay) and Razer refused to sell me a battery and wanted me to send them my laptop for who knows how long, freight paid by me, for a simple battery swap... Is it still the same? This fact that they do not sell replacement batteriesd is a game changer... any comments?

Lenovo legion 5. Best laptop I’ve ever owned

I have 2 touchscreen oled razers from 2020. Can't wait to upgrade once the 18inch version comes out with touchscreen

@@Riverpeth Maxed out everything. It is still going strong with no issues. Just a great laptop. I am used to high end MacBook Pro’s and this feels just as solid. No complaints at all. @@Riverpeth THAT is where it falls flat on its face. But, I only let it charge to 80% (via settings). I keep it plugged in while I am using it and then disconnect the cord when I am not. This is almost a strict gaming laptop, except for Quicken and surfing the web. I use my MacBook Pro for most other things like video editing and some Mac compatible games. My use of the MacBook Pro has significantly declined since getting the Razer. The Razer feels that good. Ahh, I forgot one downside to the Razer. The pad is so large that I had some problems with it interfering with my gaming by not rejecting any palm pressure touching it. It is hard not to touch it. So I have the pad disabled through the software setting. I use a Logitech MX Master 3S wireless mouse with it when I do anything. What a great feeling mouse. So comfortable.

@@Riverpeth Keep in mind the 16" is on an Intel processor, the 14" is the only Razer with an AMD processor. Not a huge deal but it's important to know.

I have a 2021 blade 14. And i love it. Except for the soldered ram.. and its only 16 gb

Lovely. I just wished we could ordered it online and choose the keyboard layout (ex: Portuguese), as you can with Apple at least here in Europe.

I’m thinking of going for it. 14 is perfect for my needs

​ @switch-_-blade951 depends what you want "much better" is a stretch. Some people place high amount of important on aesthetic and build quality. With a lid skin this transforms into a non gamer looking laptop.

@@switch-_-blade951 Asus? All plastic. Good for the price though. I had one at one point, it was decent value. SSD died quick, had to replace and then rebuild my data.

0:56 looks like you didnt put the bottom case back on together correctly??? Razer has always done this weird thing where the middle part can be a little tricky to put back together...

Max Fan Mode deserves its own room separate from the user😂

Just use some ANC headphones and you will be fine.

Really cool. The Mercedes Benz AMG GT is one of my most favorit cars. Not entirely practical so I went with the E53 AMG instead Lol

Are you going to review the Blade 18 with 4090 ?

This should come with a NVIDIA RTX 4080 dGPU at 140W. I think the USB4 ports support Thunderbolt 3/4. I also wish it had a touch screen.

@@hritamnath4919 Blade 16 4080 i got for $3700 before tax couldn't hit 80 FPS 4k Ultra Cyberpunk 4090 Legion 7 Pro 4090 that cost me $2700 hitting 130 FPS Razer 16 Time Spy 17k Legion 7 Pro Time Spy 21k Razers laptops need a complete redesign to remain competitive thermally and actually push the performance they charge for. It was absolutely insane to me idc what anyone has to say about Lenovo having a "plastic deck" that at least doesn't get hot enough to burn my hands. If i sound pissed I AM. I've wanted a razer since I was a KID!!! I finally get one and its ASS?!?! bro. PISSED. #LegionArmy

2 different things. G-Sync is for smoother visuals, not for performance.

Reliable reviews as usual. Would be great to get Lenovo 9i Pro reviewed - dubbed the creators laptop. Any search just gives sponsored review but not real ones. Please help to do. With Windows being more geared towards AI capabilities, need something that has decent graphics and neural cores plus anything that can help software development along side.

Did they fix battery bloat, touchpad software, and overheating issues?? I had to return my 2021 Blade 14, 4x. Each one had a different issue. lol

Probably have to wait a couple months for longer term reviews. Seems like they fixed the overheating but who knows. This person I know got a Razer Book 13 and the bottom of the laptop warped due to overheating. I don't think I've ever heard of a laptop doing that before. It didn't even have a dedicated GPU, just Intel iris graphics AND a vapor chamber

Lisa if you needed a gaming laptop and could wait to buy a gaming laptop till the holiday sales, which would it be? I mostly play World of Warcraft and don't want it to run like a toaster. I purchased a Razer laptop back in 2015 and I have regretted it since.

Idk if I was dead set on a 14” gaming laptop the g14 seems much better.

Gets hot and fan is too loud imo. 🔥

It's pretty disappointing that they don't have a mini-LED or OLED in it. Probably 90% of people who think they need 240fps don't even need it anyway.

I checked it out in Paramus, NJ and I fell in love with it. Now if the speakers didn't just fail on Linux and it had a 4080 option...

I want this (mercury finish) because it combines the aspects of a thin and light with the power of a full fledged gaming laptop. Only issue is the price my wallet is shot

Razer products are not good value but Razer is not interested in building affordable products. They want the prestige that comes with a large price tag. If Razer was having trouble selling their products then the price would be a valid criticism.

If this just had a 4080, i think this would be amazing. Not with a 4070...

@@misterhoeflak ...Except this is capable of a near full powered 4070. They could easily fit the 4080 into the power envelope of this. Maybe not full power, but it would still be better than a 4070.

Nothing has changed with their support. It's still the worst of all the laptop brands. Avoid them.

I don't understand you have fans running around you all day if you have air conditioning if you have heating have a fan running but that doesn't. Bother you all of a sudden. It's a big deal on a computer. That's really stupid

If only the VRAM was 12GB since it's a QHD+ screen.

Razer decided sometime in 2022 to force everyone to create a Razer ID and log into their account to retain their savings on their peripherals using Razer's bloaty software. YOU CAN NO LONGER SAVE YOUR BASIC COLOR SETTINGS. Of course, many people have already purchased peripherals from them before this forced adoption. I tested it using a new account and a new email and sure enough, I started getting spammed by random emails. Razer data-mines you and, moreover, this practice fucking utterly deplorable to force users to sign up for their account to use the functions on their peripherals without telling disclosing this fact. No one should be buying Razer products until they stop this practice!!!

This looks like a razer ad. They are atrocious in costumer service idk what world you live in being paid by all these companies. People who actually use their products for more than just 2 weeks know whats what.

Not a fan of razer. If they made a 16" version of this with no discrete gpu and gave it a num pad for under 2k (with 32gb of ram), id be interested. As is, hard pass.

Apple Silicon is based on ARM, that uses system on chip, so we are talking older Intel systems versus the latest tech from Apple where we get improved latency, better thermals, shared memory, and cheaper costs.

Crazy to think people really pay this much for so little.

I love the laptop, but not the size. for me, 14 inches is atrociously small. 16 inches minimum ! Long live real monitors !
