The 2023 Peugeot 408 is the latest fastback from Peugeot featuring a holographic instrument panel, touchscreen infotainment unit with i-toggle, claw shaped daytime running lights, adaptive cruise control, and a flat top and flat bottom multifunction steering wheel. The car runs on a 1.2 litre turbocharged 3 cylinder engine mated to an 8 speed automatic, giving the Peugeot 408 a century sprint time of 11.5 seconds.

Is it a timing chain?
CAT B size, CAT A drive train, but it's still 200K. So you are paying CAT B price for a CAT A drive train.

That’s one way to look at it. You’re not wrong that the 408 isn’t a cheap car. If you consider running costs in terms of fuel and road tax over a number of years though, it could make quite a bit of difference compared to a traditionally spec-ed 2.4 litre Japanese sedan.
Is it a hybrid car?
