Our beloved Stafford Woods is in jeopardy of closing and being removed permanently in the coming weeks! Stafford is the #1 ranked course in NJ and 39th in the world (via @udiscapp). Thousands of volunteer hours have went into the property to help manicure it into a picturesque piece of land. This place has helped so many people find disc golf and pursue their disc golf journey, including us.
We ask that you take the time to click the link above and sign the petition to stop the NJDEP from removing Stafford! If you want to take the extra step you can reach out to local Voorhees, NJ township representatives and voice your concern about losing such a world class recreational disc golf park. We need to move quickly before it’s too late! Let’s save an important piece of Gatekeeper’s history and growth.
Welcome to the 2023 PDGA Professional Disc Golf World Championships Presented by L.L. Bean! This is a 5 round PDGA major event that is held in Jeffersonville, VT at Smuggler's Notch. Competitors will compete at both the Brewster Ridge DGC and Fox Run Meadows DGC.

Better commentary too IMO. Jerm and Uli just do too much silly jokey crap for my liking. Fish and Queen focus on dissecting the game.

Jomez does a lot of time consuming editing, and is responsible for a significant amount of the live coverage as I understand it. I think the biggest issue here isn't the Post Produced coverage but the fact that the PDGA and DGPT can't seem to figure out how to run a tournament round where the top several cards arern't being forced to play some of their round in darkness, stop playing halfway through, and finish the round early the next morning without sufficient time to warm up. Then they are more or less forced to hang around for 6-8 hours and play another full round... Show me one sporting event where the "best in the field" get randomly punished for being good when they should be rewarded.

Back when I was working out there laying pipes in the 70's we got newspapers 2 or 3 days later. Forget TV. Too far out. Thenewspapers came out on a crew boat with the mail. We had 16mm films and reel to reel videotape for entertainment. Times change. We take it for granted. Radio Caroline was pirate radio and commercial free. That was the best we had.
Friendship ended with Jomez. Gatekeeper is my new best friend

@@CJski You think the video guys on loan from DGN are better than Gatekeeper? You do you. Jomez is all over the place. Wing and several of the original others are very good and sharp but there are times when I wonder "who is the new guy who thought that was a good angle to shoot?"
Man, if any of these players had as many birdies as Simon and Calvin were mistaken for each other in the commentary, they would be on the led card in R3 :D
Anttila on 11, "interesting"? No, perfect. THAT'S touch. Gently curving turn, landing softly and flat near your intended target? Yeah, I wouldn't want that. Over the wall, through the woods; I wouldn't be surprised if Niklas ends up at grandma's house.
Love you guys but y’all should pay more attention to who is throwing and how many shots the player has thrown. I’ve caught multiple mistakes and it’s only hole 12. Gotta do better when covering players at this level.
I'll say it: Andrew Fish's commentary is lackluster. Despite being intelligent/super-knowledgable about disc golf, his narration lacks wonder for the sport. This is very common in other sports, when retired pros become commentators: they never appear to be genuinely surprised or impressed or wowed by anything that happens. I mean, if Andrew Fish was on the mic during 'The Holy Shot', he would have said something like: "Impressive shot by Conrad." (World goes crazy, everyone else loses their minds.) Fish: "He put it on the right angle, really special to throw it that way in such an important situation. Really well done by Conrad." Snooze-fest!

That being said, thank you Gatekeeper for this coverage. Very well done-truly. I don't take it for granted for a second. Nothing needs to change; I was just voicing a personal opinion. Keep doing what you're doing.
