Hands down, best exhibition flying I've ever seen on KZread. Close ins, wide shots, flares, vectored thrust maneuvering, high alpha passes, trans sonic passes, beautiful clouds and sky and beach. Wow.

As a Brit it pains me to say that the F-22 is a fantastic plane. Probably lots of people commenting about the skill of the pilots, (undoubtedly true), but as an engineer and failed even to make military pilot selection pilot, I'm impressed by the engineering teams that programmed the flight control systems that allow the pilot to take the plane safely to the edge of aerodynamic stability, I'm sure there's not much margin of error from doing the Falling Leaf manoeuvre, and being in a flat spin. Pity only the F-35A variant on display, seeing an F-35B stationary in the air is mind-blowing.

F-22 Raptor Cobra Maneuver!!!!!!!!!!

I just saw some of the jets blowing pass my house! I thought we were getting invaded XD For anyone wondering, they shook the whole house and let off every car alarm for blocks lol The sound is just insane. Bought a GA ticket for tomorrow, great footage man!

Marvelous! Today, Saturday, the F22 performed twice. First time was cut short due to rain and then it came back later for a full demo.

I live nearby and watch the show every year. What caught my attention was the side by side of the two planes in the heritage fly-by. You can see the Raptor has HUGE control surfaces. And that explains the some of the great turning maneuvers in the demo by the Raptor. Although on Saturday, I thought the F35 stole the show Saturday with speed and climb profiles. Heard it was a female pilot. But great job overall by both planes and pilots. I know it’s all BVR, stealth and avionics now but I still want to know who wins the knife fight. For sure the Raptor is capable in this regard but I’d still bet my money on the F16 for Tight turn radius -John Boyd style fighting with dump and pump to evade then re-engage.

Thanks for posting this. We were there yesterday (Saturday) and due to the rain and cloud deck we left after the F15. As we were leaving we saw the 22 loitering around but didn’t get to see any high alpha maneuvers so this is awesome to see. I’m hoping to see some footage of the growlers yesterday. They put on an amazing show and with the storm off the coast the backdrop was ominous.

Thank you Spencer! Love your vids, of Huntington Beach the most. I was there on Thursday & Friday and live about 2 miles from show center, it’s like a war zone over my house (love it). Thank you for allowing me to enjoy the show, all the shows, over and over again.

I know the skill it would take to fly that thing. I can only imagine trying to fight it or see it for the first time. Watching those turns and be like nope. You would save so many missiles by just getting radar lock seven times in five mins. Great footage, what a machine that is.

Lucky the weather was nice, I went on Saturday and it rained and the performances were stopped, until the F-22 flew in and started doing turns.

First time I've the F-22 and 35 drop flares in a civilian airshow, nice addition to the demo. Nellis AFB airshow is the only other place I've seen flares being generously used in their tactical demo. Anyone know why Nellis isn't happening this year?

@cf4461 I think the Snowbirds are amazing! Had the chance to see them and i thought they were great! You can have your opinion but I think they are great! Not as good as the Blue Angels or Thunderbirds but they are still really skilled pilots!

Oceana Jet Base Airshow was excellent but when the F-22 did it’s flight demonstration the show was over for me after seeing what this amazing aircraft can really do

F 22 is still unmatched years later. They should bring it back. You just can't explain the turning capabilities of this thing. Nobody beats is in the water or air. With that, we by default own the ground too

Nah it’s too expensive and too limited it also lacks capabilities. The f35 is way cheaper and can do way more. it would be nice to have 200 or so more raptors though.

WHOA!!! That's so cool seeing the Raptor do a Cobra! The Cobra should be part of the Raptor's normal routine. As much as I love the Raptor, I wish most of the demo would be faster and more aggressive like the Eagle demo when there was an Eagle demo. We got to see the speed and power of the Eagle, and I would love to see some of the maneuvers from the Eagle Demo in the Raptor demo, like the vertical roll to 15,000 ft.

Cobra manoeuvre is the sitting duck manoeuvre among 5th gen planes..these days the planes never get to come close and raptor spots them way before the adversary comes to know about it. The only take away is this that how fast the raptor get over the hangover of this manoeuvre. Only f 18 has has this ability to recover fast of a cobra❤

Brilliant footage. However, you do realise that the same companies that released these amazing aeroplanes developed the technology to shoot them down before they were released into service.
