Been a fan of Tommy’s since I started watching in 2011. Was devastated when he left the league, and his return arc was incredible. Sad to see that the Mallards just can’t get it done in the playoffs no matter how loaded the roster gets. What a win from the Eagles and company today. From Dan putting the doubters in their place with two bombs, Dallas doing his thing games 1 and 3, Blade throwing a no hitter in game 2, Landon for getting them started in game 1, Whalen for constantly putting the ball in play, and of course for Carson for cooking up the duck for dinner. But congrats to the back to back division titles for the Mallards, especially to Tom. He’s established himself as MLW’s best power hitter, and it showed in game 1.

I don’t think there’s a single team in the league that emulates the same energy as the Eagles do. Their entire roster consistently shows up to every series, they’re always loud on the sidelines and they always lift each other up. Absolutely no negative energy whatsoever. They play the game with joy, they love it, and they have to be the easiest team to root for in the entire league. I hope they get it done in the World Series, but regardless of the outcome, this series proved that the Eagles won’t be going away anytime soon 🦅 looking forward to the ALCS next week!

Wow. First the Eagles upset the DBacks, and now they pull an even bigger upset against the Mallards. Allen and Walker are an excellent 1-2 duo on the mound, and the entire lineup batted very well today. The Eagles are playing BY FAR their best wiffle ball of the season, and they will be hard to beat in Atlanta. Condolences to the Mallards, they have so much talent, and I felt certain they would make the World Series. But they only had four total hits across the three games in this series, and without a good second option on the mound, Robles wilted as the series went on. They will contend next season, but they need a better #2 pitcher behind Robles, and they need to improve the bottom of their batting order.

Watching Dallas take the heartbreaking L in game one reminded me a lot of the way the Eagles’ season ended last year. Just a few small things going differently completely affected the team [and specifically Dallas’] mindset and that dug them into a hole they couldn’t get out of. It could’ve happened that way again this year after the walk-off loss in game 1, but the maturity is showing big time. Dallas and the guys have seen this before, and they now know exactly what to do to stay in it. Walker’s pitching and the bats picked Dallas up in game two, and by that point, it seemed that the momentum and positivity had completely swung back to the Eagles. Dallas sailed smoothly in game 3 and they won emphatically. If they keep doing exactly what they’re doing I see them in the drivers seat of this year’s World Series. It’s a joy to see Dallas and this team fight through the challenges, get early leads, reach those big moments, lock in and control the momentum, and get stronger and stronger all around. It’s no question they’ve really earned this WS appearance by taking out the mighty Mallards and the dynasty D-Backs. They’re red hot and playing their best wiffs of the season and it’s gonna be very fun to see how they play in the big dance, especially if they face an equally surging Preds team. They’ve got a winning formula and I believe in Dallas more than ever. As the league gets more talented year after year and it becomes tougher and tougher to make it this far, this seems like the biggest series victory in Eagles team history. Nothing more fun to watch than a team with heaps of chemistry. Props to Dan and the gang.

Other than TC3 I noticed a lot of other Mallards players kept looking back at the speed clock every time they got struck out. This is a bad habit and honestly indicates the pitcher is in your head. Instead of focusing on whether or not the pitch speed might bail you out focus on getting a hit. In general I started noticing a lot of players league wide striking out and immediately looking to the speed clock hoping to be saved. I would consider turning the speed clock so only the ump can see it.

Not to take away from the Eagles but where the heck did Robles go in this series? There was no hope for the Mallards without his arm and bat. And why wasn't he on the podium after the game? Really disappointing performance at a critical part of the season.... again. I say this as a big Robles fan: I hope he finds a way to come back and be a true leader for this club - during both good times and bad.

Agreed! Big fan of his as well, but seeing his frustrations show in the third when they had another at-bat to come kinda sucked. Felt like a was almost throwing the flag a bit. Then not seeing him in the interview left a sour taste in my mouth. He’s just one of the more likable guys in the league, so it was just a bit of a let down. Really do love watching Robles overall though! No hate

Watching with my Eagles hat on, wow! A very uncharacteristic series on the mound for Robles. Dan FINALLY gets some homers going. Can't wait for The World Series!! That knuckle ball by Dallas was NASTY
