2023 Nissan Z walkaround with Chief Product Specialist, Hiroshi Tamura

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Introducing the 2023 Nissan Z. Developed by a passionate team of designers and engineers, the all-new Z represents an approachable sports car for the modern age - with an unmatched 50-plus year heritage and global fan base.
"Z is the pure expression of Thrill. It is Nissan's passion wrapped up on four wheels," said Ashwani Gupta, representative executive officer and chief operating officer, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. "The new Z retains its authenticity as a pure sports car to keep you connected to the road while bringing in the latest modern technologies to make sure the car can help keep you connected to your life."
The all-new, seventh-generation 2023 Z, which drops its numerical prefix in the U.S. for the first time, is scheduled to go on sale at Nissan dealers nationwide in summer 2022.

I don’t think I’ve seen BMW execs or even Toyota execs talk about the M2, M3, or even Supra in this way. It’s clear that this is a car that Nissan tried to build to the best of their ability given the price constraints to be a true affordable enthusiast car capable of taking on the best of the competition for less. You can tell he is proud of the car and proud of the work the team has done. That alone makes me want to buy it. I realize there are going to be some shortcomings with it being based on the 370z platform, but I’d like to drive a car the engineers and designers have taken specific pride in building for drivers and not just being a marketing exercise.

Needing all that talk to describe looks means that the the looks do not speak for themselves. The design touches old and new but does not go any step further to be beautiful or awe-inspiring. All the elements for which the promoter is proud could have been executed more boldly or artistically. Notwithstanding faults, the new generation Supra exterior is memorable and will have historical significance . This new Z shape is daringly blaze/boring but not bold enough to be a major historical design contribution. Years down the road, when all these models are forgotten, only the bold ones will be hoisted to the status of collector.

It’s ok. Aging chassis which has had rather poor geometry remains from the looks of it. And the vr30 is soulless engine imo...doesn’t compare to the supras. Still a very intriguing buy if the price is kept in check and undercuts the Supra by a reasonable amount. Definitely can be a great looking car imo with proper wheels and fitment. The Supra is a bit more polarizing in looks and might not age too well
