I owned 2016 Mini, they are dead reliable after 2015! (That is if maintained properly) I had mine for 4 years, no major issues, only had one issue with accelerator pedal. No transmission or engine problems and i drove it until 110’000 km, it was still running smoothly. Only reason I got rid of it because BMW overprices regular maintenance. For a car that’s supposed to be the economy BMW, it should not be 890$ for front brakes 😂. Mini cooper starts at 26,000 for a base 3 cylinder. And for that BMW played the market extremely well for a car that is fun and returns 45 mpg highway!

Sometimes it happens in life when you buy a girl car. And then realize an r53 is the way to go. Plenty of $ saved and build it the way you want it. Tis a nice car though! Minus the automatic.

R53 is by far the best bmw mini made so far, with a manual that is the CVTs hold them back, these newer minis have nothing mini about them they're boats
