The new Mazda CX-60 e-Skyactiv PHEV is the most powerful road vehicle Mazda has ever built. The plug-in hybrid drive system consisting of a 2.5-liter Skyactiv G in-line four-cylinder petrol engine with 141 kW/191 hp and a 129 kW/175 hp electric motor develops a system output of 241 kW/327 hp and a generous maximum system torque of 500 Nm. The 355-volt battery has a capacity of 17.8 kWh, enables an all-electric range of 63 kilometers (according to WLTP) and contributes to the safe and confident driving characteristics thanks to its low placement in the vehicle structure. The maximum speed in purely electric drive mode is an impressive 140 km/h.
The battery can be charged on an 11 kW AC wall box via the two-phase on-board AC charger with a maximum charging capacity of 7.2 kW. Fuel consumption in the combined WLTP cycle is 1.5 liters per 100 kilometers, which corresponds to CO 2 emissions of 33 g/km.
New and further developed technologies intensify the connection between driver and vehicle, which Mazda describes with the term Jinba Ittai. One example of this is the new Driver Personalization System: It uses a camera to recognize the position of the eye and, after entering the body size, automatically adjusts the surroundings - seating position, steering wheel, exterior mirrors and head-up display.
Other technological highlights of the Mazda CX-60 are the Mazda driving mode switch Mi-Drive (Mazda Intelligent Drive Select) with five driving modes including the all-electric EV mode, the next-generation 360° monitor with see-through view for an extended field of vision, an exit warning for road users approaching from behind (BSM Vehicle Exit Warning) and the Kinematic Posture Control (KPC) - a unique driving stability system that minimizes rolling movements in curves.
Even in the basic Prime-line version (from 47,390 euros), the Mazda CX-60 e-Skyactiv PHEV AWD has, among other things, two-zone automatic air conditioning, Mazda Connect with a high-resolution 12.3-inch color display, digital radio (DAB+), digital instrument cluster with 12.3-inch color display, Mazda SD navigation system and wireless smartphone integration with Apple CarPlay™ or Android Auto™, full LED headlights, LED daytime running lights and taillights and rear parking assistance. The emergency brake assistant (SBS) with pedestrian and cyclist recognition and a new intersection function is standard, as is a lane departure warning system with steering assistance (ELK), lane change assistant plus (BSM) with steering intervention, drowsiness detection (DAA), traffic sign recognition and the new exit warning (BSM Vehicle Exit). Warning).
The Mazda CX-60 is the first of two new crossover models based on a new "large platform" architecture to be launched in Europe over the next two years. As a plug-in hybrid drive, the Mazda CX-60 e-Skyactiv PHEV is an important part of Mazda's multi-solution strategy for sustainable mobility. This follows the principle that there is a suitable drive solution for different applications. Mazda have really taken it to BMW and Merc with this amazing car! We have a 2023 CX-5 and we love it. Superb build quality, ultra comfortable and very refined. Mazda are really setting the benchmark now. My dad liked our CX-5 so much he has been and purchased a CX-60 PHEV Homura! He test drove it today and was blown away by how nice it is, he currently drives a 2016 Tiguan SEL and he said you can’t even compare them, the CX-60 is on a whole new level. He did look at a Volvo XC60 but preferred the CX-60 based on price and the fact it feels so much more well built. Well done Mazda! Great cars.

Please tell me the steering wheel is ticker than the one inside of the cx5 and cx30? Are the headlights adaptive? Why is that black thing there when the front and reverse cameras activate?

It is pretty stiff the steering wheel...I think more the others....but not big difference 👍

Hey, I've got an CX-60 so I can help you out! The steering wheel is noticeable thinker then the CX-5 so you can be excited about that. The headlights are full LED and are adaptive. They will 'steer' with the car so the corner is well lit. The black thing you see in de cameras is the footprint of the car on the ground, its a 360 system so it films all around the car. Hope this helps you!

In the UK im sick of seeing German cars, there is an obsession with certain badges its pathetic really but I had a lift in a CX5 today, superb car, really nice interior and refined. It was actually the diesel but I couldnt tell. Mazda seems to be a good premium alternative and I hate driving cars that are too common on the roads as well.
