Yep the most sure way to get the bracket wrong is to pick chalk (although some scoring formats don't reward picking upsets enough so chalk might make sense) as most years this is the most unpredictable sport in terms of results, especially early on. Can't wait!!!

I’m a Bama fan, and the last team I wanted to see on the 8-line was Memphis. Bama beat them by 3 earlier this season, but they could’ve lost. Memphis is an experienced team with some really good players. Purdue got a tough draw there.

If SDSU is upset by Charleston, I will be sooooo disappointed! According to Kenpom, Charleston is supposed to be about on the same level as UNLV which finished the season 7th in the Mountain West. In fact, I'd hope that several other teams coming out of the Mountain West win their first games, from top to bottom the entire conference including the perennial doormats were very good this last year and if things changed a bit the bottom half could have easily finished in the top half. Wyoming was a pre-season #2 pick. San Jose won its first MW Championship Tournament game against Nevada which is one of the 4 "play-in" teams. Air Force also took some notable scalps during the season. The conference as a whole was ranked #5 in the country, pretty decent for a Mid-major to be better than so many other conferences and schools with budgets more than 4x what a Mid major school has to work with. Can the tough conference competition translate into a few NCAA wins? Maybe! Go SDSU, Southern Utah, Boise State and Nevada!

Their point on Filipowski on Edey is laughable. Lively will guard Edey, get into foul trouble because he's too small and then they go to the bench after that. No way they risk their best player going against Edey to get into foul trouble in the first 10 minutes of the game. I know Duke is more disciplined and just a better team now, but it makes no sense to have him on Zach.

Because they had 17 Quad 1 wins (most in history) and had the toughest schedule in the country by far, playing in the best conference by far. A conference whose regular season title they won by the way. If anything Kansas should have been the #2 OVERALL seed and be in the Midwest. Houston should be the #1 in this region. The committee did Kansas absolutely no favors with this draw, and once again failed to find any consistency with how it chooses the field and how to seed them.

I agree. I am a ORU fan bc I live a couple miles from there, but I hate their draw with Duke . I think Duke and ORU should of been slightly higher seeds. ORU won like 24 of the last 25 games , but of course they draw Duke who is on a 9 game win streak and just won the ACC. I think Duke should of been seeded over tennessee. Oh well. Go ORU lol

Im a Kentucky fan and I agree. We beat Tennessee twice, and we had an up and down year this season, at least for our standards. But, i hate the Vols so much. The only team i hate more than them is the Louisville Cardinals(i call them the Dirty Birds). Louisville sucked this year though, and im so happy about it. On a side note, kinda surprised that Vandy didnt make it, they had a good run at the end of the season, and in the SEC tournament.

And you forget we had a ton of injuries that game. Lively had only been back for a game and all our other player were freshman trying to figure out the college game. Now they have it figured out they are a different team. Just ask Miami and NC State that crushed us earlier in the season and then lost to us recently.

I don't see Indiana making it to the 2nd round. They couldn't beat Penn State (a football school) in Chicago in the Big Ten tourney with what was basically a home crowd. When Hood-Schifino has an off-shooting night, which is every 2nd & 3rd game, Indiana gets beat or has an extremely tough time.

A lot of "Football Schools" are starting to exceed in Basketball. Who's the Top Overall Seed in the Tournament? Alabama, another Football School. Another Football School in the Tournament is USC. Suddenly the Trojans have also exceeded in Basketball.

Penn State just barely lost against Purdue, they aren't just a "Football school." Alabama, Utah, UTA, Tennessee, and USC are all good at Football and Basketball. It shouldn't be a surprise that a school with an all-round good athletics program would have a good basketball program

@@macauliflowerculkin8731 That was the NCAA's reaction to the Kansas loss. Move them from the #1 overall seed and move them out of playing in Kansas City in the first two rounds so there was no fix. When you compare the two schools head to head there is no reason for Houston to be seeded above KU and this is coming from a K-State fan so if there was one molecule of reason for doing it I wouldn't be writing this.

At the time they were being "considered" for the number 1 spot, UCLA, Houston, and Alabama were more compelling prospects for the number 1 overall. As it played out, Houston loses their conference championship (sure let's reward them with a number 1 seed). Kansas gets annihilated in their game (sure let's reward them with a number 1 seed). UCLA loses to a high quality Arizona team by 2 points (NO! because we are biased and the fix is in we will massively punish you while sending you down the rankings and you will get a number 2 seed. THE FIX IS IN, no doubt. Kansas is outrageously overrated. All of the teams will study the 2 Texas film sessions and replicate their game plans.

F-ya’ll… Nobody watches SDSU. Top 10 defense and elite 3 pt D. SOS- 34 vs 305. Def Officeny 10 vs 75. One of the best at defending 3s. comes from 5th highest rated conference vs a conference of JCs. Ask Steven Ashworth and Omari Moore about our defenders.
