Ah, it's been so long since I've seen someone with Kase san in their collection! So underrated. It's so fluff, so soft, it just brings a massive smile to my face whenever I read it. Happy to hear you say it's your favorite gl

Appreciate that I am not the only one who has no exact way to shelf manga. Mine is usually a mix of size, what looks good, ongoing, and some authors together lol. Ughhhhhhhhhh dissolving classroom I have the paperback and only want the HC for completion purposes. Man does that book suck lol OP is prob the only series I want outside the boxes cause I love it so much. ( It defies the save space rule haha) LOLOL that chopper funko at the end pffffffff I never seen that one I need to just have streams or something where I just talk OP everything with people I could do that forever. Great vid and collection Toni!

I would have so much more space if I kept my OP volumes in the boxes but that’s just not fun at all haha. Thanks for watching!!

O-Parts Hunter! You're the first person I've seen who has that in their collection. I've had only volume 15 for a decade and been wanting to eventually collect it. If you do want to unhaul it, I'd be interested! Very cool collection and I love how you organized and displayed it all. Great little One Piece shrine.

Fantastic collection! I didn't realize you had so much since usually when you're showing it there are only little sections and you unhaul pretty regularly. Haikyu seems like something I would really enjoy but the volume count is daunting!

Thank you! Collecting the Haikyu volumes as they were released definitely made it more manageable. I’m still holding out hope that Viz releases some box sets for those who are looking to collect it.

@@tonireadsmanga Also I'm pretty sure everything from What's Michael is collected in those 2 "fat cat collections" so I don't think their will be more of them. It was only 9 volumes in Japan with some bonus stories and the English releases is 11 volumes which are all included in these Dark Horse releases.

@@thequestyen Thanks for the info, I’ve literally been wondering about this for years haha. These omnibuses seem small for 11 volumes but maybe the original volumes were thin

Hey, I know its weird commenting on a 1 year old video but hey, i saw your collection and i think its pretty cool. I've got my own shelf but not as big as yours. There was a few points i wanted to say about the collection - I love Junji Ito but personally his work has kind of been downhill for me. At first, i dedicated a full section of my shelf to his work but realised i was only buying for the name and not the actual story itself. Although I will always keep Junji Ito's Masterpieces, if you aren't 100% sure if you like it, i would say make room for the ones u love instead but it is your collection after all so it is just a suggestion - This is more of a question. I don't have too much space on my shelf so i started to only keep the ones i loved but my opinion can change a lot. For example, i really liked attack on titan but after the ending, it made me feel weird about the entire story so i got rid of it. Is this something you do or do you keep the manga nevertheless? Another question is how do you keep control of how you buy manga? My issue is i like so many different mangas, i would prioritise getting one volume from many different series instead of sticking to 1-2 so how did you get around this? - I was big into manga for a while but i started to slowly shift to comic books aswell. The only real reason i got into manga again was because of the prices for comic books now. Is there a time where you find yourself shifting from manga or amost struggling to balance all your things you like? I did the same with funko pops and the statues. It became hard to balance what i like and what i didnt Anyways, thats the last of my ramble, i know it is an older video so your shelves are probably different but all my questions are about the collection you have in the video. I hope you well and it was a nice video to sit and watch through

Hi! I try to only keep the manga I think I will reread in the future (with some exceptions, like my Junji Ito works, because I can be a bit of a completionist). It’s very rare for the ending of a manga to completely ruin it for me, but if it was so bad that I couldn’t see myself revisiting the series then I would just unhaul it. For your next question, I’m honestly not sure I’m the best person to ask unfortunately. I started collecting before the pandemic and the “manga boom” so there weren’t nearly as many series available. I pretty much just bought anything I was interested in reading, even entire series at a time, and I utilized pre-orders to stay up to date with the series I was collecting. This did result in me having a huge TBR, and I had to do a 2 year project to get it back under control. At this point I’ve collected pretty much all of the backlog titles that I’m interested in so I can focus completely on newly released volumes. I don’t think I’ve shifted away from manga but recently I’ve started getting back into reading novels more often. My reading used to be pretty even between manga and books, but within the last few years it switched to almost exclusively manga. So I would say that now my reading is just shifting back to how it normally is, if that makes sense. I don’t really have any other hobbies currently so balancing them hasn’t been too difficult so far, though a lack of shelf space is definitely a factor in what I can reasonably buy and collect. Hopefully I was able to answer your questions. If you have any more let me know, and I’m glad you enjoyed the video!

That collection is awesome. I’ve been collecting mangas for six years, and even much, much longer because I started getting them for the first time in 2011 when a friend gave me a Naruto manga. As far as my collection now, I have all of Naruto, all the current volumes of Boruto, all of Fullmetal Alchemist, Dragon Ball, SandLand, all the current omnibuses of One Piece, both volumes of the One Piece Ace manga, the Sanji manga, all of Zombie Powder, a lot of volumes of Bleach, Burn The Witch, all of Yu Yu Hakusho, all the currently made volumes of Hunter x Hunter, every single Yu-Gi-Oh! volume as well as all the spin-off mangas of it, all of Rurouni Kenshin, the two volumes of Barrage, I have all the current ones for My Hero Academia, all the current volumes of One-Punch Man, all of Dr. Stone, Food Wars, Assassination Classroom, Demon Slayer, The Promised Neverland, all the current volumes of Jujutsu Kaisen, some of Slam Dunk, Haikyu, all the current volumes of D.Gray-Man, some of Claymore, Chainsaw Man, Spy x Family, Kaiju No. 8, Shaman King, Toriko, all the English versions of Gintama, some of Blue Exorcist, Undead Unluck, all of the current volumes of Black Clover, all of Death Note, the first volumes of all the JoJo parts so far, some of Inuyasha and Yashahime, some of Black Lagoon and Sailor Moon, all of Fairy Tail, The Seven Deadly Sins, some of Gantz and Vagabond as well as all the Colossal Editions of Attack On Titan and all the Deluxe Editions of Berserk and Vinland Saga. I’m hoping to get a box set for Tokyo Ghoul and Tokyo Ghoul: Re. A good amount of these were hard to get since some weren’t sold where I am, I had to order some series from America like Yu Yu Hakusho, Shaman King, Toriko and Gintama. I like to have all my Shonen Jump mangas together and I personally prefer getting omnibus versions of manga so a lot of the ones I listed are in 3 in 1 omnibus editions. I wish a lot more had omnibuses, but I’m still super happy with my collection and can’t wait to get more. I also have a lot of these as anime DVDs and Blu-Rays and many other like all the Studio Ghibli movies, Code Geass and so much more. I also have a ton of different anime character collectibles from series like Naruto, One Piece, Dragon Ball, Bleach, Yu Yu Hakusho, Hunter x Hunter, My Hero Academia and many others.

I use medium bathroom trays from Target. I spread them out on the shelves, then put some cheap foam board or cardboard over them to hold the volumes. You can create a similar effect with tissue boxes or other items.

They’re from Amazon, the brand is called Star-Spangled. These ones you have to push to turn on and they don’t change colors or anything but the remote-controlled ones I had before constantly fell off the shelf and the batteries died super quickly. These ones do fall off my closet shelves sometimes but I haven’t had them fall off the normal shelves at all. For my purposes they work pretty well but I really only have them on for videos.
